We happened to be across from a site where the generator ran from 7 am to 10pm. Not sure why they felt the need to run it the entire time it was allowed but it definitely put a damper on sitting outside to enjoy the sounds of nature.

It was a quiet and peaceful campground, with people respecting the rules for keeping dogs leashed, quiet hours late at night, etc. The campground hosts are not as attentive as in the past, with firepits accumulating huge layers of ash and NOT being cleaned out between campers.

The campground was clean and in a beautiful location with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable - clean vault toilets, drinkable water, picnic tables, places to dispose of our trash, and a fire pit. The camp hosts Nathan and Grace Lorenz were extremely helpful and friendly, always available to answer our questions. They directed us to a place where we could gather wood for fires and even gave us a few logs. There are lots of places to hike near the campground and a short drive from there. This has been one of my favorite campgrounds for nearly 40 years, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to return.
