Great campground - Beautiful large sites. Especially like Loop 4 no generator policy. The Campground host this month was especially visible and attentive. Really the best we have had contact with in the many times we have stayed at this campground

Always clean convenient. I stay here on the final day of my bikepacking trips. Conveniently located right next to the caldera.

This was a great campground. The sites were well spaced. It was especially quiet, as we were in the no-generators loop.

One of our favorite places to go, almost everyone is courteous and the hosts are great. Campsites are clean, bathroom kept up, plenty of hiking opportunities to hike. Gentle recommendation to campers, seems there is a growing trend to leave lights on all night. Please don't, you are safe in this CG and the lights prevents others from viewing the stars or even sleeping.

Had to be escorted out of campground by a Sandoval County Deputy because we were attacked by a neighbor's dog and then threatened by the dog's owner. The camp host called the Deputy after we were threatened by our neighbor. His dog had attacked us and our dog earlier and then he entered our campground and threatened us. The Deputy came and was very nice, but he thought it would be best if we packed up and left. The Deputy stayed while we packed up and we left the campground at 9:30 PM, driving home at night in the mountains. The USFS Ranger agreed to refund all of our camping fees and apologized to us. This is a really great campground and if everything goes OK then it is great. However, if there are problems then there is only one camp host, and the hosts are generally not well trained. If law enforcement is needed, then the USFS mostly relies on the Sandoval County deputies and although they can be helpful, it takes a long time for them to get to the campground. This campground needs better trained camp hosts and more law enforcement.

Stayed for work. Nice site close to field work site. Much more affordable AND under per diem (if you're searching for that) compared to literally anything in Los Alamos. "Naturally air conditioned" via higher elevation and tree cover. Gorgeous hiking nearby and two NPS sites. You know, for that post-workday-wow you may be looking for. Never saw the campground host. Neighbours kept apologizing for their off-leash, untrained, unresponsive dogs despite campground regs clearly posted. Did not know how to report this rudeness.

The newbie camp hosts, Lucas and Christine were the highlight of the stay. These campground should probably have 2 camp hosts and the Forest Service is probably not providing all of the necessary resources (maintenance and Law Enforcement Officers) that would help camp hosts. But the new camp hosts really put forth great effort to make improvements with Reservation Signs and keeping restrooms stocked with TP and keeping the campgrounds looking good, etc. The Forest Service could improve the unleashed dog issues a great deal if there were signs posted about having dogs leashed at all times and if the Forest Service would provide some resources to enforce the dog leash rules. Overall, this has been one of our favorite campgrounds and it was a great stay.

This is a well-run National Forest campground. I loved the quiet loop with no generator use allowed.

I think posting a large sign at Loop 4 stating "NO generators are allowed at any time" might help.A nearby RV's generator (in Loop 4) woke me at about 2AM.

We always like the Jemez; it is my feel good place. We enjoy hiking and relaxing under those pine trees. We will be back again!
