The lake / reservoir was low and many cows ( with cow pies) made lake access difficult. Campground was fine. Bathroom was clean. Road in to the campground was steep and rough, had some difficulty with my 2 wheel drive van.

Beautiful Location and Wonderful Camp Host!

We stayed in Loop A, site 23 in late August 2022. The great thing about the site is how large it is. There are big trees to hang hammocks and so many places to put your tent. The problem with the site is that the picnic table is at the bottom of a hill from where you park your car (there are no food lockers so you will go up and down that hill a lot!) and if it rains, the water runs down the hill and pools at the picnic table, which makes it unusable unless you like cooking and standing in mud. Also, while the site is near the water, the thick willows block your view of it. We enjoyed the campground a lot, but wouldn't stay in that particular site again.

Loves the hosts and the area. The facilities were clean and stocked. I have to say I really liked the hosts who were very accommodating and understanding. I can’t wait to stay again.

Only complaint is directions to camp should include turn right at fire station on 501A. We drove all around the lake trying to find the camp!
