Totally loved this delightful lake. Well worth the 7 hour drive from California. for a 3 night stay The lake is gorgeous. Just about the right size. Surrounded by pine-covered hills. The campsite are spaced out in a way that makes things more private. There is no water (but you can bring it in). The bathrooms are fine. We found the host Jonathan to be the most friendly and helpful host we ever met. I don't know if the other reviews were talking about a different person but Jonathan is da man! Portage is a necessity ($25 each way) unless you are at the campsite closed to the road. The sites are great and so close to the water. We had site #12 which was great. #11 and #13 are great sites as well. #14 had a swinging rope close by that was a lot of fun to play with. Bring your canoes, tubes and SUP boards. There are fish and turtles and no bears in sight during our stay. The water was so warm but it was a warm weekend. Totally a place to come back to.
