Managers took it upon themselves to regulate extreme generator hours as explained in prior reviews. There was absolutely NO mention when making reservations. Store was poorly stocked ..Small bag of ice $5. Trail is extremely rocky and shale ridden you really have to watch your step or possibly break your neck on the very steep bank. Not a place for dogs.no grass a lot of dried out weeds..and even our German Shepherd s could not go down steep banks. Definitely will not stay here again. Nothing to do may as well stay in Wal-Mart parking lot.

ok.. so here's the down and dirty for RVrs on this place. worst place to stay EVER! we arrived and it was 102'. I called four days ahead of our arrival and asked how far our site was from the water because if it was too far.. we were going someplace else. Glen the manager told me we had a great spot only 10 feet from the water. he said we were right on the shore. so you'll understand my surprise when we arrived and after 10 feet from our site was a 150 foot sheer drop to the water. seriously. only access to the lake was to go around and down the boat ramp or hike back through the tent campsites and down an extremely treacherous decline to an ankle breaking rocky beach. oh..and forget about bringing the pooch. they can't walk on the brutally hot ground and the water is much to far for them to cool off without third degree burns on their feet. ok but my personal favorite is that this is a State Park. the "managers" live in this cute house in the shade with AC running full time, and a lovely grass front yard. see pictures. however.. the paying "guests" who are parked on asphalt with ABSOLUTELY NO shade are only allowed to run generators from 10am-Noon and from 4pm-6pm. heat stroke much.. the reason.. they don't want to disturb "their" peace. cue de gras.. I got to over hear the managers talking trash about the guests. saying too bad if their hot they can leave. well let me tell you.. we saw people show up and drive away each day. so you may ask, if it was so bad, why didn't we leave? excellent question. well theirs ZERO cell coverage.. none.. and we had family driving from Another part of the state to meet us, so we were just plane screwed. Oh and the store has WiFi.. just not for guests. but check out this notice they have posted about gas. it should give you the right feel of the place.
