Great riding trails could be a bit confusing very nice camp host There is no more Potable water that should be advertised more Showed up with no water how to scramble to find some

Absolutely outstanding camp. Trail systems were well marked, footing great, easy terrain. The camp hosts, Russ and Nellie were such a pleasure to visit with.

This is a beautiful horse camp with a good camp host. Be prepared to keep your dogs on leash when in camp. There is abundant clean horse water in the troughs, but there is NO potable water, you will need to go to Fish Lake or Lake of the Woods nearby to refill your people water. Good manure disposal area with nice wheelbarrows.

There did seem to be some committed generator users. Folks, I don't know what you are doing with your electrical, but you really really should not need to run your generator for 8 hours a day!

The trails are very nice but it takes a bit to figure out the map. Only the main forest service trails are shown on the maps and there are a bunch of other trails winding around not far from camp. That said, the signed trails are quite good. The maps are available in the kiosk by the camp host. There are lots of trail markers with CAMP and an arrow, to help you find your way home...

We used this as our base, and one afternoon drove to nearby Fourmile Lake for a ride. Really not worth the 6 miles in and 6 miles back on a washboard gravel road....I think going to the Summit Snopark and riding the PCT would have been better. We did go to Lake of the Woods to get water and have dinner at the Lodge. It was very tasty but expensive. There is Potable water no far from the RV Dump station on the way into Lake of the Woods.

I really love the camp ground and the trails that are available. The camp hosts were a little too much into coming and visiting my camp and informing others what my name was and that i was staying there alone. Being a woman, I was a bit uncomfortable with that

We had a great time exploring this area. The camp ground is very nice and the camp hosts are terrific people that have been involved with this campground for quite some time. They have a ton of great stories to tell and they know everyone.

The only knock against this place is the heavy use. The horse corrals at each site were soaked with urine and there was no time between visits for it to dry up. The smell of ammonia was hard to get away from while in camp.

We'll go back as there is so much more to explore.
