Nice campground; very handy to have potable water hydrant close to same location as dump station so that fresh water could be filled at the same time.Awesome views of the mountains!

This was our first time staying at Glacier Basin and I was very pleased. For me, the best feature was that the campsites are large and not stacked right on top of each other. The restrooms were very clean. Another great feature is that the layout of the campground makes it very easy to let the kids take off on their bikes and I didn't have to worry about them getting turned around. It was nice not needing a timed reservation for the Bear Lake road area since access to that area is included as part of the camping reservation. Finally, I would mention that the Google Earth image (at the time of this posting) is several years old and is not an accurate depiction of the campground in 2024. Loops C and D are not as treeless as the satellite image suggests. The trees planted after the 2009 the removal of trees killed by Bark Beetles are now 8-10 feet tall. Not tall enough for shade but better than no trees at all. I would absolutely stay there again.

The old lady who sells the ice is as mean as a snake.

The whole reservation system needs to be revamped. Locals appear to be reserving campsites for a week just to lock in a weekend site. even though the campground is theoretically full. approximately 20 % of sites are vacant. Because campsites are in such high demand. There should be a limit of say14 days or something similar, within a two-year period to give more people a chance to experience the park rather than the same people visiting multiple times.

Perfect campsite, nice and quiet and dark at night, good places and easy to find.

This campground is a beautiful place to wake up to Mountain Views. There are nice shaded campsites to help keep you from getting to warm in the bright afternoons. Very nice restrooms as well. The park and ride for Bear Lake is just across the street from the entrance to the campground. An excellent place to start exploring the Nat. Park.

One of my favorite places that I have ever camped at!! Very highly recommended!! Elk stroll right through camp! Beautiful 360 degree view of the mountains!
