Campsite is near the end of the loop, so you'll need to drive almost the entire way around each time you leave and return. Not a huge deal. Camp layout is very generous with good space around the picnic table. Tent platform is right by the road -- good for loading / unloading, but susceptible to passing vehicle noise. Restrooms and trash disposal are very convenient. Not much shade, but lots of small trees nearby make it feel comfy. Overall, a good spot and would stay again.

Great sites, perfect size for our trailer and the views are phenomenal. Good spacing between sites as well!

I had been planning for this trip to RMNP for months, driving from MD for the experience of hiking and camping in the park.I was not aware of the timed entry requirement, thus, was unable to gain entry to Bear Lake Rd for 2 days of my visit. This was a bit disappointing, but was able for the most part to find alternative hiking trails.RMNP is a stunning place to visit and take in the scenic views and wildlife.
We were happy to grab a campsite the last night of the season at Glacier Basin. The Ranger was very welcoming and we loved the setting. We stayed in our sprinter so did not use the facilities.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
