Probably our favorite of the Rocky Mountain National Park Campgrounds that we visited. Our site was fabulous, had tremendous views and even had wildlife visiting during our stay.

We had a great night tent camping at Glacier Basin. The campground is accessible to several trailheads making our afternoon and morning hikes convenient. The evening ranger presentation at the amphitheater was informative and entertaining under the cover of a sky of stars. We were also satisfied with the cleanliness of the restroom facilities. Unfortunately, due to the pine beetle infestations of the recent past, there is little vegetation or tree cover at the campground. While this did make for great wide-open view of the night sky, there is very little in the way of wind break.
