Great campground close to the touristicw POI of the Park. The spot is quite private next to the forest and close to the restrooms. We would stay here again!

Everyone was kind. I was at spot D57. This spot was not good especially for car camping. The picnic table and fire pit are very far away from the parking spot. The parking spot is very small and you have to park parallel to the road where all the other cars are driving by. I would not recommend for car camping. If you are tent camping and dont mind having to carry your stuff a bit far from your car it would be fine. Its nice that it gets you into the Bear Lake corridor

Glacier Basin is a beautiful campground. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restrooms were always clean. We loved using the shuttle service that is available across the road from the park. It made getting to and from trail heads in the Bear Lake corridor so convenient. If we stay in RMNP, it will be at Glacier Basin.

Due to the beetles and downed trees there was very little campsite privacy. Our 10ft box pop up and truck barely fit in the spot. Id recommend this site for a vehicle only and tent. Love the campground as a whole! Will be back! Location, shuttles and plenty to do!!

Our site was truly too narrow for our camper. We have a standard with 25ft box trailer. We arrived spent the night in first site which fit camper fine. We then moved to our permeant site for the next 4 days. D125 is unable to accommodate a camper with a single standard slide and fold out stairs. We are not new campers, owned same trailer 4 years and pop-ups before that. If not for a ranger allowing us to angle into the site we could not have fit. Either our ladder folded into the road as the other side of the camper nearly rubbed boulders that bordered the site or we would have been unable to slide out as the entire slide out would have been in the road. We have camped at other national parks and lakeshore and never had such a difficult time. The ranger was helpful in the end allowing us to back slightly into "the resources" so we would not have our trailer hanging in the road, but the process of getting there was stressful. We were told that glacier basin was not a "KAO"( we presume he meant a KOA) but we found that not a helpful commentary. After driving 1500 miles from Michigan with our family of 5. We measured the site and the boulders lining the road were more then two feet closer to the road then the other easement sites that lines the road. Either the site needs designation as no slide, or tent only or those boulders need to be moved away from the road about 3 feet to safely accommodate the sized camper the website describes. That you for listening.
