Weve stayed at this campground before & always have a great time. This trip, we had neighbors in C065 that had a huge domestic fight (F vs. M) on 7/4 at 6am, yelling profanities, including the F word every other word about the M accidentally ripping the Fs tent among other things. They left before PD arrived but the responding officer was amazing & helpful. Its the first issue Ive ever had in this park & Ive been coming up here since I was a child (Im 38 now). I made them aware that we could hear them & they kept on yelling. It was a shame that two people could be so wildly disrespectful, especially since I had my 10-year-old daughter with me that heard everything. The last night we had neighbors that just left their fire burning while they went on a walk. I put it out with water bc I dont want the park burning down from their carelessness. I hear the man say when they got back oh our fire went out. Haha! Not smart. I just wish people would follow the rules. Otherwise, I love this park & this campground. Ill continue to come back as long as I can. The facilities are relatively clean (we also leave whatever we use better than we found it), the rangers are great and the location is beautiful. The views never get old!

Great campground in a perfect location with views of the mountains and access many hiking trails. Conveniently located across the road from the Park and Ride shuttle which will give you easy access to Bear Lake Trailhead area. Campground also has potable water and clean bathrooms.

Beautiful campground with easy access to the park. We appreciated the number of trails accessible from the campground. Will camp here again!

This campsite has it all!! Not all the sites have shade, so be mindful of the areas without trees that you'll want to bring extra shade options. But there are beautiful trains that you can hike directly from the campsite. There's easily accessible facilities including potable water, a dishwashing station at the main bathrooms by the entrance, and even a spot at the recycling area where you can recycle your small propane tanks. And the views really can't be beat. Loved every minute here.

Rangers at the Glacier Basin campsite were very helpful. They suggested using the Park's Shuttle, which allowed me to get to the Bear Lake trailhead without having to wake up super early on a weekend to get a parking spot at the trailhead. I was advised that the parking lot could fill up as early as 5 am! The shuttle also allowed me to hike a half loop from the Bear Lake trailhead passing Odessa and Fern Lakes and exiting at the Fern Lake trail head, where I caught the shuttle back to Glacier Basin. The trail work between Helene Lake and Fern Lake is impressive. The fire from 2020 severely burned the area after Odessa Lake down to the Fern Lake trailhead, but the open landscape allowed many wildflowers to grow, which contributed to an abundance of butterflies. The trail starting from Bear lake is also great because after Helene Lake, it's pretty much all downhill to the Fern Lake trailhead.

Beautiful Camp site. Great view of Longs Peak. I dont understand why I had to show my reservations 3 times to get to the campsite plus an armed ranger looking very aggressive. Not just one ranger but all the armed ones looked very aggressive. I hope they remember this is our park!!! I could have used them when a group of drunken campers were walking through every ones campsites looking for fire wood. Anyway the park remains beautiful but I think dispersed camping in the National Forests are best for me.

we loved our spot! we only wished that people would drive through the campground with just their running lights at night. headlights are so bright they shone right through our tent.

Right next to entrance and at the beginning of the loop, so you will see any cars that need to go through the one way loop need to start at your campsite. Campsites are very close together but this one is at least near a restroom and firewood.
