Nice campground. A bit annoying having the construction (modifying picnic tables) ongoing throughout our stay. Additionally, my wife hurt her foot going to the restroom near the c100s due to a small stump on the path. Grinding that down would be a good idea.

It was fairly secluded, likely more private in spots in the 80s. easily accessible, centrally located and fairly quiet. You are the last "generator-free" spot so you can get some noise, but everyone respected quiet times. firewood ($10 a bundle; Venmo or cash) and ice were sold near the campground entrance from ~5-8 pm. Perfect temps during my trip (76-40) so shade didn't matter but it had a good mix of some shade and openness. phone line above the pad if you're looking for unobstructed stars above your tent. full 5g with Tmobile at site. remarkably clean bathrooms. good distance from all amenities where you are close enough to go in the dark but far enough away to avoid the traffic.

This is campground you want to be at if you are hiking in Estes Park area. Great base camp. Close to the better trails. Beautiful views. Also stayed at Aspenglen campground for one night. Wouldnt recommend that location for few reasons.

Tent is half shaded, which is enough. Views are amazing. 106 is a bit nearby but enough away. Picnic seating location and camp fire site is at amazing location. Theyre private and overlooking mountains! We loved it!

Site C104 was excellent for tent camping. Close to facilities, but not too close. Felt more private and less exposed than many of the sites in C/D loops thanks to some larger trees on one side and no site directly behind this one. Site C106 is the only one that encroached a bit on the feeling of privacy -- feels like you're walking into that site's picnic table area when you go from the car parking area to tent pad; however, still really enjoyed the site and the campground overall. Rangers were helpful.

Wonderful place on earth.
Lot of hiking areas around. Try to stay at least 2 or more days so you can cover more.
