The campground is located where you can view beautiful meadows and mountains. Three different trail heads fright from the campground is a bonus!! All of the staff were helpful and nice.

There were plenty of hiking trails although you cannot take your pets on the trails. The views are beautiful and there was plenty of wildlife to see. The camping spots are fairly close together and ours was so close to the road that when we put out our slide it almost came out to the road. Many RVs were crammed into their spot as the drive through or back in is tight and close to trees and rocks. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

We were told when we entered the campground that some of the things we had with us had to be stored in a bear box. We understand the need for such things, so we readily complied. . . When we went to retrieve our things from the box after being in the campground for three nights, the things we had put in there were gone. The box was empty. We spoke to one of the rangers who told us that he had "cleaned out" the box and since there were no campers in the sites immediately next to the box, he took the contents of the box and threw them away. This was very frustrating to us and also cost us close to $100 to replace the things that were thrown out. We did as we were told. The box we used was the closest one to our campsite, yet our things were simply tossed in the dumpster. We were quite frustrated to find that our things had been "thrown away." The ranger apologized and we spent a considerable amount of time digging through the trash attempting to find our things, but to no avail. . . It was a very frustrating experience. . .
