A loop is nice; some sites have shade, but some not so much. Bathrooms were clean with running water, potable water was available, and we had pretty good cell service for a national park campground. The sites are close together, but it's Rocky, so it's going to be pretty crowded. Walking to the Bear Lake shuttle was super convenient.

Nice site in tall pines with long pull through driveway. Its sort of odd how the campsite next to this one has its firepit right next to your driveway though. This is a slightly congested area of the campground with a bit of discomfort with the proximity of other campers close together, in an open space especially when everyone has a fire going. Other than that the campground itself is great with amazing volunteer rangers. The proximity to the shuttle station is a big plus!

The Rocky Mountain National Park experience was unforgettable. The park rangers were clear and helpful, my partner and I were impromptu camping- so the rangers had every right to be annoyed with our lack of planning- however they were simply delighted to share nature and fill last minute vacancies on their campsites. We ended up camping three nights and got 30 miles of stunning hiking under our belts on the well-maintained trails. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will be back!

Glacier Basin is in a great location, close to Bear Lake, Glacier Gorge and across the street from the Park and Ride. Loops A and B are in a beautiful wooded area. The campground was very clean, and we appreciated the availability of fire wood at the campground. It was our 3rd stay in the campground!
