Campground was clean, fellow campers were respectful and quiet. Quite enjoyable!

Sites that had been reserved weeks and months in advance became available as the date of our arrival approached. Rangers were very helpful in directing me to alternative sites when it appeared the campground was full.

Grant Village is a wonderful place to camp. It's very clean, a variety of spaces, easy access to comfort facilities. The check-in process was a little cumbersome, but I get that they have to go over all these policies with everyone (especially about bears, if you are not familiar with them being around).

Site 45 was tight for our RV, I think the spot itself is ok, but overhanging bushes make it tight. 1 of the restrooms is outdated (eg no ability to lock doors, paint has faded) though still functional. Other restroom shows how the other should be. Enjoyed our stay, in the park, but also close to estes park to enjoy one of its restaurants. Liked also the fact that there is a "left over"-box at the entrance, where you can donate (in our case, since it was the last night of our holiday) or take stuff usefull for other campers.

You can enjoy the sounds of the Fall River. Lots of wildlife viewing. Beautiful mountain scenery. Great night skies.

We camped at two different Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) campsites: Timber Creek on the west side and AspenGlen on the east side. We actually much preferred Timber Creek as it seemed to be better maintained than AspenGlen, and the reservation was much less expensive. Near the Timber Creek campground, we saw lots of elk and moose at Bowen Gulch and Coyote Valley. On the east side, close to AspenGlen, we saw elk, moose, and bighorn sheep in Horseshoe Park, Sheep Lakes. Moraine Park on the Bear Lake Rd (need timed entry plus pass) also had lots of elk and moose.

Love this beautiful campground. Large private sites and river near by.
