Nice pine forest setting and new-looking, clean bathrooms. A paved trail started at the campground and provided a beautiful walk in the direction of (but not clear to) Estes Park. Would enjoy camping here again.

Fantastic campground right near one of the park entrances. It was quiet, the sites are spread out and the bathrooms were clean with flushing toilets.

Overall, we love Aspenglen Campground, and the only improvements I would like to see is a trailer dump/fill station, and better cell coverage (which you have no control over, I know)

Pros: Campground is smaller and sites generally have some space between them. Some of the bathroom facilities have been renovated. Scenic views.Cons: The park needs to better maintain the sites by cutting tall weeds around picnic tables and tent sites. This campground is close to a road and visitor center/restaurant and you can hear road noise throughout the day.

One item of use for people in small RV's without levelers. The sites along the hill from the A/B loop area, along the C loop, to the C33/35 area, has some parking areas that are parallel with the road. Those sites are very hard to sleep on in an RV without levelers or using lots of blocks, because they slope both down the hill and toward the campsite.

Aspenglen is my favorite campground in RMNP. It is a small campground for smaller RV's and tents. It is just inside the Fall's River entrance. A nice path along the river leads to the visitor center or to Estes Park. There are no hookups for water or electricity, so you need to be self-sufficient. There are flush toilets and water hydrants are available. If you plan to hike, most trails are closer to Morraine or Glacier Basin campgrounds which are also served by the shuttle service. There is one trail that leaves from the campground, but it is heavily trafficked by the nearby stables.

What a beautiful and quiet campground, perfectly located to explore the rocky mountains. Even during the night we had a bear as a visitor.
