This camping spot (number 7 if I recall) is further away from the road than normal so it is private. Hammocks are allowed at this site and there are plenty of weight bearing trees. The views, even just from the campsite, are incredible! No runing water at individual camp sites just the communal bathroom locations. The communal bathroom locations do not have showers. The animals at the site seem unbothered by our presence. We frequently had deer grazing a few feet from us as we were cooking breakfast. There is a family of chipmunks that live at the particular campsite. The elevation is high and the air is thin, if you're not used to it you can easily wear yourself out. The campsite is relatively close to several trails. Some of which are rather intense, so be prepared. Overall the campsite was clean, well kept, and beautiful. I would absolutely stay there again.

Campgrounds were really loud until midnight so it was difficult to sleep. Walk in sites we're nice because they're a little secluded.

Site was very clean. Camp Hosts were very professional, clean, and available. Bathrooms were clean and well serviced. Drinkable water was easily accessible.One issue that could be addressed through the city is the noise from the part venue across the valley. It was very loud and definitely made you NOT feel like you were in the woods. They did shut it down at 10 though.Ice Cream, Ice, and Firewood all in 1 location almost every night was also an added GREAT bonus.

We had an incredible time! We came during Memorial Day weekend, and while most of the hiking trails we checked out were covered in snow, Aspenglen campsite was completely dry. Although the park lacks showers, we were able to visit a laundromat in Estes Park (~10-minute drive from the campsite) where they had showers for us to use. Don't let the lack of showers intimidate you- the convenience of Estes Park makes this a great option for families or first-time campers. It rained one night and we were able to go into town and have dinner and then breakfast the next morning rather than having to fight with the elements to get a fire started.

We enjoyed our time at Aspenglen so much that we have already booked another stay for this May. We are so excited! We love having access to super clean bathrooms and the sink outside the bathrooms for washing dishes is wonderful! It was quiet and peaceful. Can't wait for our next trip! Totally blows away other campgrounds like Timber Creek on the other side of the park.
