Great campsite. Aspenglen is quiet and pleasant overall, even though it is not that short a drive to many of the main hiking trailheads. I love the walk in sites, loop a (which is all generator free, so pleasantly quiet) sites a to e, because of how much space there is and how private they are. Sites c through e are farthest but also prettiest and there's nothing between them and the river. So you get the nice rushing river sounds. And access - if you're willing to clamber down the banks - to sit in the rocks next to the river. The sale of firewood and ice all evenings except Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 7:30pm is convenient, and even though the price is slightly higher than in town I think a nice bonus. Note that camping stove fuel is available at limited places in estes park - only the hardware store that's open 8-6. If you're willing to carry on all your stuff a bit of a ways then the walk in word are asking the nicest one been to at any national park, and imo site e is the nicest. Btw, the toilets were quite clean even when the campsite was full.

Rangers were great for park info; site was beautiful and river very close by and campground easy to get to

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL campsite !!! It’s secluded and right next to the river ! A few yards behind the Tent pad is Gorgeous
View of the rushing river and mountains. Wouldn’t wanna stay anywhere else.
