This campground was one of the friendliest and best maintained. The bathrooms were clean and well-attended, our campground was swept, and the site attendants were very friendly when they checked in on us. We took five families and rented basically an entire loop and everyone remarked on what a great experience it was.

This campground must be reserved on Recreation.gov which makes it very expensive due to the eight dollar reservation fee which has to be paid even for same day. Not every loop has paid toilets which makes it a long way to walk to the toilet. The only set of flashing toilets were locked, a sign announced the arrival of Porta Potties soon. The only thing that actually worked with the water taps. Apparently there are showers and flushing toilets at Lynx Lake which is not accessible from the campground and requires a separate entry fee. I will not go back to this campground. Unfortunately around Prescott there are very little camping options and the dispersed camping nearby is all taking up by people who seem to be living there permanently.

My wife and I have been camping at Lynx 5 times. 2 times at loop c / 12. It's a GREAT SPOT. The fire pit needs to be fixed. The rain has washed out the dirt under the concrete slab and needs to be releveled. If you need something from a store AMPM / WALMART are just 10 minutes away. Going back in October. See ya

Well cared for campground! Sites are laid out for privacy with easy access to water and bathrooms. Great walking trails.

The lake is a nice size for paddleboards. Sites are neat and clean.

We have camped in several places and so far this has been our best experience yet. We camped in September so the weather was perfect and cool at nights. Since we camp during our days off, Sunday through Wednesday, there are less people. The campsite we chose because of the space was 12C and it was spacious. WeAlso could walk straight down to the lake from the back of our site. It was really quiet there. No road sounds but the coyotes were pretty noisy. The bathrooms were very smelly though and their was no lights in there. We also only had three steps down to the site. We had morning sun but not afternoon.

Enjoyed a beautiful night, stars out early and often. Overall it was a great night. Went with kids and they had a blast!

Beautiful location, clean camp sites and the host was such a nice gentleman--he made sure we found our campsite, helped us look for another site that might better suit our needs in the future and made sure we got settled in nicely. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at 12C and 11C.
Lynx Campground is great place to camp, its very clean with multiple trials and lake that is less than 10 minutes from the campground.
Host (s) were very nice and helpful - they did worn us about storm/hail that was going to happen that day.
If you forgot something, you can drive back to town that is 10-15min away.
Toilets were ok - but as with the most camping sites they smell bad so you may want to pick your spot away from them.
If you need cellphone signal you may be out of luck - T-Mobile has almost 0 (zero) bars/reception.
12C is perfect place for a single tent - its probably one of the best spots as there is shade + lake/trails are just behind.
11C is just in the middle next to 10C so great spot if you are coming with multiple people.
I am giving 4 stars only because there is no 4.8 option :). Toilet is somewhat close and depending on the wind, you can smell it. Otherwise its great place to camp.

Beautiful view of the lake, although extremely low. We did see a mating pair of bald eagles. Be sure to confirm whether or not the forest is closed and whether or not a fire is an option at your campground.

Campground hosts was very nice and helpful. The camp site was amazing with full off tall pine trees and clean. Will come again and again.

My family gathered for a celebration of the life of my brother who died unexpectantly. Loved ones came from far away. North and South Carolina, California, New York, and The Marshall Islands. Camping with my brother Pat at Lynx Lake was the last time I saw him 9 years ago with my son. It was a new moon. Sunday was quiet at sundown. Chilled with my son Josh and my brother Tim. It was the most peaceful and healing day of my life.
