We arrived after dark and had no trouble finding it. It was a clean site. While we were packing up, it began getting warmer as the sun rose higher in the sky. At that timd our 5 year-old learned the hard way that there was a wasp nest behind the campsite (we think it was in the retaining wall). She was stung 6 times and I was stung twice (we both swelled a little and get really itchy when stung, and a spot ony head throbbed for around 6 more hours). After we got the threat taken care of, we quickly packed up the rest of camp, then went to find the property manager/grounds keeper. We rang the doorbell and knocked on the door a couple of times and got no answer, so we left a handwritten note for them to find (with a way to contact us if they had questions). We don't know of they got.it taken care of, so please be warned that if you visit in the fall (we went in early October), you could find wasps that don't like you getting too close.

Check in at 2 pm check in where? I guess it is self check in. Maps and brochures state there is a marina store to buy firewood/supplies. I attempted to go to the store was immediately stopped by a girl who works there telling me it is not a store, hasnt been a store since covid and that it is just a restaurant. I asked her how we check in and she had no idea and said she did not work for the campground and that all information should be posted at campground. It wasnt. I attempted to call the numbers that were on the brochure and recreation.gov provided numbers no one answered either.When we arrived at our camping spot it was very well kept other than the previous people who stayed in this spot left trash, used toilet paper and feminine product trash in the fire pit, I cleaned it before we started our fire. Every bathroom we went to was broken and had no soap for the sinks either. I chose a prime rated spot thinking it was going to give me some space, it was close enough to hear our neighbors talking and hearing cars drive by all day. Beautiful area though I can say that much.

Nice campground, however, there was no campground host around during the entire week. Upon arrival the site had not been cleaned as we found trash and the firepit still contained burned wood. The flush bathrooms were not cleaned at all during the week we were there and were a disaster.

We've camped at Lynx Lake on 5 times this year and we really love the camping. We now have 2 kayaks we use for fishing at Lynx and nearby Watson lake. The campground is in the tall pines, sites are really well kept. Bathrooms are clean and there's water for filling containers and you do have cell service. Host stops by to check you in and ask him for a parking pass for the lake it's free with campsite. Lynx has a good walking trail around the lake. Dogs are welcomed but require leash. We just love getting out of the heat and going camping at Lynx lake.

The sites are very large, with grown mature trees separating each site. Lots of privacy. The area is beautiful and the lake is nice for kayaking. Very clean. Camp hosts very helpful and polite. Definitely recommend.

This was the first time car camping in 20 years and Lynx Lake Campground did not disappoint. While the weather was a bit warmer in the day than we would have wanted it to be, our site was close to the water pump, an a invigorating walk to the restroom and had great afternoon shade to read a book under. Camp Host Mike was terrific. He welcomed us within minutes of our arrival, was knowledgeable about the area and visited everyday with a biscuit for our dog. The hike to the lake and paved path around the lake was a highlight for some much needed exercise. If you are looking for a no fuss, clean and quiet escape, consider Lynx Lake Campground in Prescott, AZ.

The campsite and entire campground were very clean and Campground Hosts were exceptionally helpful. We were returning to Lynx Lake Campground after having camped there 45 years ago and were so pleasantly surprised at all the improvements. Water and bathrooms available at easy walking distance from all the camping sites. Bicycle and hiking trails were well groomed and appropriately marked for ruggedness. Lynx Lake Campground was one of our favorite camping trips in 2019.
