Campsite was clean and easy to set up. However bathrooms were closed in the loop and no directions in where to find functioning ones. Had to drive to the nearest one. Based on past reviews it seems like theyve been this way for awhile and no indication when theyll be back. Would have been useful to know before I made the reservation.

I love this little campground. It was clean and quiet except for the generator down the road that started up at 6:30 a.m. Also restrooms are not open at all loops so you have to walk to other loops to use. Hopefully they will add a dump station in the future. Would gladly pay more per night for dump and water filling station for RV's.

Always a delightful place to enjoy Prescott from. Sites are very well spaced and the lake trail is classic. This trip was not 100% for a couple factors. The bathroom closest to us was closed, causing a longer walk to a bathroom and said bathroom had mostly clogged toilet and a sign that said to "not flush tp" and to put it in the trash bag- this is kinda gross knowing that fecal remnants were just out in the open and I had to cross over those to toss my tp in the bag. Seems like a bad separation of poop and people- as a Pro Guide, we strive specifically to retain this barrier to prevent all kinds of gross stuff... 2nd item was there was no Host to be found to purchase firewood on both a Fri and Sat on a busy weekend. There may have been 1 in G loop, but the walk all the way to where they may be to sell me wood was honestly longer than I was willing to venture to then haul the wood back to my truck. We will be back and hoping for a slightly better experience.

Beautiful Forest service CG. Hilly and many trees. Good spacing between sites. Very clean. Excellent host. Short walk to beautiful lake. A few sites are laid out in reverse for trailers which require access from opposite direction on road.

Mostly quiet but still people nearby. Very close access to hiking and lake trails!

Restrooms near my campsite were closed. Fire pits at several camp sites were filled with previous campers fire residue. All in all a lack of attention was evident. Made me sad.

Fix bathrooms please. And because the flush units are closed the pit toilets need more attention. Disgusting

two flush toilets were not working!!! That says it all. Plus on campsite across from us had a huge fire going. Although it was in a fire box from home it actually seemed quite dangerous with flames two feet high. There was a fire restriction in effect

This is just a lovely place, clean campground, and just three miles from AM/PM and Costco. Fun to hike around the lake, too.

Great location just outside of town. We had a blast and the blue Gill but was great for the kids.

Each loop has only a handful of campsites so it's nice to not have a ton of traffic driving by as the main loop tends to bypass each section. The sites don't seem to be overly large but are perfect for tenting, with a nicely raked tent pad, good size cement picnic table, and campfire ring. We did see RVs set up so likely not much of a concern. The campground does not have a designated check in so with the assumption you have pre-paid, you simply find your site, begin set up, and the host stops by to confirm. Otherwise for space available bookings, if the campground has space you just grab an available spot and pay onsite. The campground is within walking distance of Lynx Lake which has an easy walking path around it, but note the marina store and boat rental facility are closed due to COVID. The campground is also closer to Prescott than we realized and thought we would get some serious traffic noise but surprisingly not, there was a bit of traffic in the morning for a short time but nothing that was overly loud or irritating.Flush toilets are well maintained, as is the overall campground itself. The hosts stop by at least once a day and are very helpful. My only concern, per se, would be if there is an issue there is no way to contact the host since there is no dedicated check in spot, although they do have a site within the campground just off the entrance. The one thing I would call out is that the vast majority of the camp sites do not have any shade cover so it would be important to have some kind of canopy for the afternoons.Would absolutely recommend the Lynx Campground and hope to come back again for another stay.

The amount of dead bugs in the bathrooms was ridiculous.
