Grizzly Campground is located in the Beckwourth Ranger District, Plumas National Forest (54 min northwest of Reno, NV) with an elevation of 5,870 feet. There are a total of 16 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of May to the beginning of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 24 and 48 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $38.00 per night. Some amenities include dump station, swimming. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Campground was amazing and super friendly camp host. Definitely planning on visiting again only next time we will probably pick a different site. Our campsite (51) had a pretty intense incline to it. Other than that, had a great time swimming and walking around the lake with my pup.

It is our first camping trip here. Sites are spacious with lots of trees & shade. Appreciate the clean & stocked bathroom & firewood delivery service offered by the host. Me & family had the most amazing time & look forward to coming back again!

Overall, I liked the campground a lot. Lot 20 has plenty of shade throughout the day due to a lot of trees in the area. The ground is flat in the main area. My issue with this campground and the other two on Lake Davis is that there are no bear boxes. During our stay there was a momma bear and three cubs getting into peoples stuff. Overall good experience though.

Camp sites were relatively spacious and flat. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper. At least one RV camper was running a generator for a few hours and even though they seemed far away, the noise really carried. There's heavy bear activity in this area and I was surprised by the lack of bear lockers.

Wider and better maintained RV spaces than were used to, a store close by for those forgotten items, and easy to get to from Reno.

Weve been camping at Grizzly every summer for years and always find it a pleasure. The hosts are always very friendly and helpful.

Well-spaced campsites; all facilities very clean; beautiful setting on Lake Davis; frustrating lack of adherence to quiet hours even though the campground appeared to have a host.

It was a wonderful time we spent 3 days there. The whole campground was very clean and maintained. The bathrooms were clean as well. Just a wonderful place to stay

Beautiful area, lots of trees, quiet and serene in midweek. Camp host was very helpful and showed pride in in his job. Close to small city (Portola) if you need anything. Great breakfast dive restaurants, .market and gas stations... will be going g back for sure...

To my knowledge, the bathroom was never cleaned. Last year the lower bathrooms were broken and unusable and this year, only one side was usable.

Restrooms were very dirty. Never cleaned in the 5 days we were there. Campground is run down. It needs major repairs.

We enjoyed our stay at Grizzly! The sites are large, level, and surrounded by beautiful trees. A shirt walk through the campground to Lake Davis. Clean bathrooms. Flush toilets. Friendly and helpful host.

The lake and campsites were amazing. Very clean! My only recommendation is to have showers and to have flat pads for the campsites that are on a slope, for tents. Camp host was very friendly!

Grizzly is a quiet campground with spacious sites. Easy walking distance to the water. Sites are always clean and well kept.

Camp host was very nice! I have camped here for years and they were some of my favorites! Campsite was awesome! Had the area for a tent all raked out, it was free of garbage and they had buckets at every faucet if needed! Stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time!

Our campsite overall was in good shape. However, the picnic table hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The top was pretty dirty and sticky. The men's/women's restrooms had toilet tissue packed so tight on the tissue bar that you could not roll out the tissue. This caused numerous pieces of tissue to be on the floor. Apparently, Royal Oak no longer allows a camp host to occupy the camp house site across from site number one.

this particular space had uneven pavement which caused problems with unhiltching & leveleling . otherwisewe enjoyed our stay [ space 14 ]
