The campsite manager was very helpful. There was access to well water. Pretty views.

This is our 2nd time staying at this campground and will continue to return. This year we had campsite #13. It easily accommodated our 20ft A-Liner and had easy access to the vault toilet. We love the wooded site at Buffalo Springs with picnic tables and fire rings. The water pump is accessed easily and was seemed to have been improved/worked on since last year when it took a lot of effort to get it going and pump a few gallons. We like to fish the area and find this campground fits our needs really well.

It rained, not your fault. But, all of the sites are muddy if it rains. The camp host didn't clean and freshen the toilets. There was still paper on the floor from the first day we arrived. And, the toilets stunk badly.We moved to a different campground.

Lovely spot that's pretty quiet mid-week. Great for night sky observation. Bathroom was very clean.Reservation process was odd: I reserved one available campsite (#3), but the system gave me another available campsite (#1). My name was not on either campsite when we arrived, so I checked in with the camp host. His hard copy printout did not reflect our reservation, but the site for which I'd received email confirmation was open, so he gave us the go ahead.

Nice campground but overpriced for services provided

Excellent location for tent camping. Large sites and well maintained for a NFS campground. Will definitely use again in the future. For RVs, some pull-in sites have unlevel drives, which made it difficult to level and uncouple campers. Be forewarned - a single hand pump water point.

#8 is an amazing campsite! Lots of room and privacy, can easily fit several tents. Wilderness in the back of the site. Theres a walk through to walk down the entrance hwy. The campground host Mike was wonderful and helpful.

Sites seem pretty well spaced out in this campground, and there is good tree coverage on most of the sites. However, I think the vault toilets are small for the usage and because of that there was a smell. Camp host did a nice job keeping them clean though. It did seem like it was a very dusty place to camp - our site had a lot of powdery soil and when the wind blew that didn't help. The campground isn't far from hiking opportunities or lake activities at Eleven Mile Reservoir and Spinney Reservoir.

Nice, spacious, very quiet. A bit buggy this time- thank goodness for deet. Host kept restrooms very clean.

Campground was quiet, sites were large, fire rings and picnic tables were in good shape. Having clean and good drinking water and two separate bathrooms was nice.

We got lucky and our wing was totally empty so it was nice to have the privacy. The reservation nameplates were split in 3 so it was small writing and hard to read.

Gorgeous small campground! Stayed one night while passing through on our way to hike Quandary Peak (~30 min drive from the campground). Water spickets throughout campground and pit toilets available. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful small and quiet campground. Clean and seems well maintained. Could use some leveling and revision on the sites as they face the "wrong way" for RVs so when you back in your door is away from the camp site. I was in #17 which took 5 blocks to make my rig level. Great location for many miles of forest roads and trails. Thick woods and high mountain meadows everywhere! I will return.

Overall a good experience, sites are spread out. Busy Fairplay weekend and all sites were full.BUT be aware, we had site#5, one of the only pull through sites. Worst site in the campground! Following the one-way loop the site puts your trailer door 4 feet from the road. Also, the site is on a 10-15 degree slope and washed out and rutted. The camp host allowed us to access the site via the wrong direction on the campground loop and that took care of having the trailer door open onto the road.

Great space at each site. Nice distance from each other site. Water from the pump tasted great and was super clean. Just drank it straight from the pump. We stayed at site 5 and 6. Perfect distance from dumpster and bathroom. Just a little walk to get there. Definitely had a good amount of road noise in the night. My niece heard a group of coyotes. It was a good site for a one night stay. We camped here to be close to kite lake for some 14er summits. We left the site around 4:45am and got to kite lake around 5:30am.

We love this campground and have been here three times in two years. Its always clean and and a great location. The host this year was rude and short with us. She also made up her own rules asking rules and made us pay extra for our traile even though it was on our reservation since we had to get a larger spot to accommodate it. We filed a complaint/reimbursement never heard anything back from them or recreation.gov

Sites are big and give a lot of privacy. Heard a little bit of road noise but less than most places. I have T-mobile and had a decent signal. Bathrooms were clean but a little stinky.

The location was very nice - well separated from the sound of US285, a mile away. Sites are well spread out and nicely appointed. One concern: We had two parties in a site - one with a tow vehicle and trailer, and one with a tent. We were charged $10 a night for "extra vehicles" - counting the trailer as a vehicle. Our past experience is that only powered vehicles count, and trailers are not "vehicles' by that definition.

The campground was great and super convenient from Denver. Facilities were old and vault toilets were not well maintained, but manageable. Largest and most private sites were 17/18 by far. Just due to the convenience factor I think what we will be definitely be back.

Had an absolutely amazing time at this campsite. The campground was almost empty because it was the last weekend of the year. No complaints, only great memories!

Camp site was perfect, host was a delight, really great campground if you are passing through the area.

The pit toilets were stinky and not cleaned during our visit. Trash cans were overflowing when we arrived and still overflowing when we left 2 days later. The park was mostly empty so it was quiet and peaceful. The camp host was friendly. Our campsite (site 18) was very secluded and we had a great meadow view. I could see how the site might flood around picnic table and fire pit, but it is a big site with a pull around drive.
@PhilipB6762433 · Camped on Aug 2, 2023 at Campsite #18
Well, it was a mixed bag. Site 18 was really great. We had it for two days. We then had to move to site 7 which is the worst site in the campground. Its just a matter of what was available at the time we made our reservations. The campground was quiet and nice overall but could use some updating. Pit toilets are subpar. Water source was sketchy. Not sure Id drink it or fill my trailer with it. Overall, we give it a B.

We found the camp host very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the visit, and it was nice to have a great water well pump, that was easy to use and the water so clear and fresh! Sites were clean and kept up.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
