Beautiful, quiet. Very peaceful. Love how small it is, limited number of neighbors.

There were fish hooks at every access point to get into the lake which is a safety hazard for my dogs and people as well. The anglers were rude and didnt care about casting right where we were trying to get in the lake for paddling. There should be a designated area on the lake where people should fish. Its a beautiful area and Ive been there many times but would never go back. Also there was a lot of garbage in the water and dead fish all over the place. The place has gone downhill. The camp hosts were great people.

I feel sorry for the camp host as they are doing their best to provide a good camping experience, but Recreation.gov is not providing critical information or updates to users. To elaborate, I verified that O'Haver Lake provided drinking water before setting out to camp for a few days. Upon arrival I found that all the water sources were covered with garbage bags and had a sign that there was no water to use. This required traversing 5 miles of dirt road and 5 miles of highway back to Poncha Springs to fetch water. Filling my containers and then trudging back to the campground wasting time, money, and taking away from enjoying the campground.

Hike or bike the amazing trails above the campground on Marshall Pass if you never have.

We loved our stay. The campsite (20) was beautiful - right on the water and close to the restrooms. The views were amazing. The lake allowed the entire family to have fun - kayaking, fishing, floating. The campsites were clean and had ample room. Would highly recommend.

Family from all over the country met here for our annual family gathering. Beautiful place with tons of things to do in the area. The camp hosts were amazing, super friendly and helpful when needed.

Always an awesome place to stay. The last mile and a half before you get there is a little hectic, but once you get there, it's amazing.

Ohaver Lake is beautiful but way too busy and loud. The day use areas are hectic all day and there was traffic pretty much non-stop. The campsites on the website made it look like we were right on the lake when in reality we had to walk through the day use area to get to the lake and on the weekends there is no room to enjoy the lake that is near some of the campsites. The camp hosts were very nice.

Campground was good and setting was gorgeous. Nowhere was it mentioned the 4 mile road up there. Two miles were somewhat decent but two miles were bumpy and treacherous. It should be noted for high clearance vehicles.

Host were great, but this small lake has way too many visitors for its size. Campground is nice but day-use visitors more than double the amount of people. Screaming children smoke from bbqs, noise from generators is noisier than the city I live in, Colorado Springs. It was stressful visiting during the weekend. Over crowding ruined the experience. Hard to get your canoe into the water with so many people crowding launch areas. Its a beautiful lake, but day use should be limited. So sad, lived in CO40 years and worst camping experience.

Sites are all beautiful. Take TP with you, as the toilet was not restocked regularly.

The fishing is great. The lake and scenery is beautiful. Great for kayaks, non motor water craft. The vault toilets are clean. There was no water available when we went. Don't bring too big of a camper, it is so very hairy getting up that steep winding road. If I would have run into another camper coming from the other direction, one of us would have had to back up quite a ways. I made it with a 21ft pull behind and 4x4 truck. The bumps are sooo deep and rough so stay 15 miles per hr and less. (There should be signs with what to expect, no way to turn around, going up) Its a good time. Worth the trip.

This lake use to be free when I was growing up nothing but a money grab now.Way overcrowded now the road going up is horrible the amount of money that is made off this once great campground that was free you could atleast maintain the road.I know it is a Forest service road but at least have them grade it the holes and rocks are ridiculous.The switch back above Marshall pass road turn off is by far the worst steep rocks,wash board,ruts,holes.

Had two great experiences. One with TRAIL Life Navigators. The boys had a great time, earned some badges, learned how to cook and went boating.The second was with family. the boys had a great time. learned how to fly fish. They cannot wait to go again later this summer. Plan to take friends from the Philippines. looking for possible available sites Last week of July. Hosts were friendly, courteous helpful and very professional - Great Job -Good example for the boys.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
