I am a person of color. It was not safe for me there and we left after it became clear. There was threatening graffiti written on the wall of the bathroom for a certain skin color to be killed. There were aggressive political flags on private RVs. We were approached by others using micro aggressions. The visitor center white washed the history of the area with only one sentence about Native Americans saying they were killed or fled by 1675 and the rest of the history was about colonizers and their building of the lake. Nearby campers did not want their kids to play with ours. We woke up one morning with something spray painted on our campsite. Needless to say, once that happened, we quickly packed up and left because we felt we were in danger. Some may say these complaints are about the people visiting and cant be controlled. And thats correct. But if you are BIPOC, this is a note to you: you will be in the vast minority. Keep an eye on your children. Black and brown people deserve to enjoy the outdoors too. I did not feel safe and I wish I could get my money back. I will also leave a comment about the park: the beach area was cool. The view of the mountains at the beach was absolutely gorgeous. The campsite was SMALL. Our tent barely fit on our plot. Out of our entire loop, we were 1 of 2 tents which was uncomfortable to be squeezed in amongst giant RVs. We could hear conversations of people around us and their music all day. We tried to drive around the other loops so we could see if maybe it would be better somewhere else and it wasnt. The plots are just soooo small. We also had ticks all over our tent and easy up. If you are a certain skin color with an RV, I bet youd love this place. 10/10 wont visit again.

As someone who stays at Seven Points in a tent, the bathroom gets crowded at busy times of the day. The fact there is only ONE toilet at a campsite of approx 40 sites is not enough when the campground is full (weekends). Similar issue with the showers, there only being two. Bring your own TP to be on the safe side.
