The campsite we stayed at was very nice. It was clean and quiet. There was a small playground for our kids to use and lots of space for all of our gear. We especially enjoyed all of the bike trails.

It is certainly not ideal for tent campers - the best spots have RV hookups so there isnt a really sense of unplugging along the water. There are very limited tent spots and their kind of just shoved in the back of an RV loop. This could be different after Memorial Day, I was there early May. There arent really any park rangers because the area is run by the army corps of engineers - I had a weird situation where someone unpacked all their stuff on my campsite because they didnt realize their check in wasnt until 5PM and was rude about it being his site. Until he realized his mistake. It wouldve been nice if someone informed him of that upon arrival to avoid an awkward conversations. Most bathrooms dont have showers and the tent site arent drive up (despite pictures online). There is so much lake front yet most sites are out of sight of the water, Im not sure why there isnt more space to camp on right on the water. It just wasnt one of my better experiences.

Great! Definitely an RV camp heavy, but friendly to people with tents
