The bathrooms were terrible, water pouring out the back of them. Floors soaking wet. The stairs at the sight, very poor condition. I lost my balance on it and landed on my face. Bruised my leg and couldn't hardly walk for the day. Gun shots was fired on Friday night. Only seen a park ranger only once while their.

The lakefront campsite had a fantastic view of the lake and made boat mooring convenient for fishermen. The tiered sites make the fire ring area more private than one would expect, and the trees complete the scenery. We'll be returning!

We spent 7 days camping at seven points/raystown this August and it was amazing. The lake is beautiful, the people (other campers, rangers, literally everyone) were lovely, the campsites have a fire pit and a grill which we used for every meal, the bathrooms/showers are clean and free of charge and theres a playground in every camping section (not that you need it, our kids never came out of the water except to eat. We swam, boated, jet skied and jumped off the rocks at Jump Rock. We will absolutely be back next summer.
