Always enjoy this campsite. The Tionesta river is always good for fishing. The camping area is quiet and we were fortunate enough to see some river otters last time.
Downfalls about Kellettville are no potable water, no showers, when there is more than adequate room for one in each restroom. Sadly the ACE seems to not have the finances needed to adequately maintain this beautiful area.

For over 10 years I have traveled from Akron, Ohio to Kellettville, Penn a few times a year. It was one of my favorite places to camp. Usually quiet and peaceful, of course now and then you would get someone with a loud generator or barking dog, but you have to expect annoyances now and then.
I am retired from the City Of Akron after 30 years, and my now ex-girlfriend is retired from Summit County with over 40 years, so I am very much aware of Government decisions. Someone has to improve on how things are done, doesn't matter how the "public" likes or takes to it, and of course, once implemented, there's no turning back and admitting defeat. "If it ain't broke..." is never on the minds of the civil servants who have ideas.
Kelletteville was run on a first come first served basis. If I arrived and my favorite spot was taken, of course I felt bad, but I looked for the next best spot, taking into consideration the spot itself and the other campers. It worked very well, no one ever had a problem for all the times I camped there.
Now my favorite spot is booked until October. I ended up in between two large trailers, and although the people were very nice, I go camping to get away from being closed in. But I couldn't move, because that was my assigned spot, even though there were other spots in the park that were open. I had the same problem last year. Also one time, I was the only one in the park for three days. I called Recreation.gov on the phone to see if I could move, I was told I could not. I ended up booking the other spot and paying for both, and moving in the morning.
It just seems to me the old way was more client oriented instead of Administration oriented. Now we are trapped into a spot for no reason. I know this letter will probably just be passed off as some grouch letting off steam, I've been around the government departments enough to know nothing will change. But you asked for my review.
