We visited Gettysburg to retrace the steps of an ancestor who served in the 2nd Sharpshooters, NH Co. F. This unit was charged with impeding the Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas infantry as they moved towards Little Round Top. We had a memorable experience and learned a lot. To actually stay on the battlefield at Bushman Farm was amazing. The 2nd Sharpshooters were placed at the Slyder Farm to engage the Confederate troops moving towards Round Top. Amazing experience to stay right there. The Bushman Farm itself was wonderful. Was clean and beautiful. We didn't cook a lot as our stay was short but the kitchen was very well equipped. We would have loved to have had our daughter stay with us, but since she was travelling with her dog, that was not possible. This was disappointing but very understandable considering the historic significance of the property.

Our stay at the Bushman house was outstanding. We have been to Gettysburg many times in the past and stayed at several different locations. Staying on the battlefield in a historic house was very different. The house inside and out, is well maintaned. The inside has all the modern conveniences of home and the furniture and decorations make you feel like you are in a historic house. We loved the Bushman house and would highly recomend staying at the Bushman house.

My friends and I were thrilled to have been able to experience our precious US History, by staying at the Bushman Farm. We felt connected to the surroundings. I have been traveling to Gettysburg for close to 30 years now, and this was one of the best experiences I have had! My, or should I say our, new goal . . .to stay at all the Houses & Farms available to lease on the Gettysburg Battlefield!

Great place to stay. Walkable to many sites. Really you ca walk everywhere except the north end.

A truly one of a kind experience. The views from the property offer a new visual perspective of the battlefield, which is amazing. Beautiful home inside and out.

We shared the house with two other couples. We hired a Park service guide, Howie, who was excellent. Needed to rent a car in Gettysburg and it wasn't to expensive with the cost divided among 6 people. Of course the visitor center is a must. We enjoyed a sunset visit to Devil's Den and the covered bridge.

Our Bushman House stay was all we expected and more. But the park needs more walking and biking venues. We came to bike and hike but were disappointed when it rained every day.

The Bushman House and our time there was nothing less than perfect. The property was clean, comfortable, quiet, and nicely appointed. The rental process was efficiently handled by Wanda. She was very thorough and accessible. We look forward to returning for another stay in the near future.

Our stay at the Bushman Farm was nothing short of spectacular. The house has been beautifully restored, but updated for modern amenities (kitchen, for example). Very tastefully done. The location just can't be beat. We hiked quite a bit around the battlefield. Spent an hour or two reading under a couple of the old trees in the front yard. Waking up in the morning and sitting out on the back patio overlooking the Round Tops - amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful experience! The Process was easy and efficient. The house was a masterpiece of history and comfort. Easy access to Little Round Top and Confederate Ave. by foot.

Incredible place to stay, very quite and restful. The Park Service personnel were extremely good to work.with in Gettysburg. Trying to make this an annual stay.
