Nice campsites with a decent sense of privacy. Our only quibble was the narrowness of the asphalt drives. A few more feet would have been nice when muddy conditions exist.

Quiet, clean rustic campground with amazing hiking.

Nice camp site. Fairly level, close to a nice park and beach. Trail through the campground down to the water. Enjoyed our stay!

Sites were well kept and not on top of each other. Bathrooms were clean as well. We had a great view of the lake and loved all the trees around our campsite.

Very nice campground. Campsite was large and plenty of privacy from neighboring sites. Had some torrential rain fall and site didnt puddle, yay! Rugged trail to lakeshore across road from campsite. Be prepared for no water or cell service. Firewood was available at host site and just up the road. Kwik Trip in Bessemer has all supplies you may have forgotten.

The campground is quiet and well maintained, but the lack of even non-potable water is disappointing. The lack of cell signal is a plus. The nearby waterfalls along the Black River make for a pleasant hike and it provides a very good base for boating in Lake Superior. The camp hosts were very helpful and kind when we had to deal with a dead battery.

This campsite is amazing. Very clean and well kept, quiet area with nearby access to Lake Superior and Black River. Keep in mind that there is no running water in the campgrounds, so come prepared for that. The waterfalls were a very short drive away and were beautiful, but it took only a short amount of time to hike all of them. We loved our stay here, perfect for a weekend getaway.

Excellent campground. Would have been 5 stars except for no potable water.

Peaceful campground! Only wish they could get water back.

This is a beautiful campsite. There are amazing views of Lake Superior just steps away. We stayed at site 15 and felt like it was reasonably private. We could see some neighbors but we had a lot of space to ourselves. There is no water and doesn't seem like there will be anytime soon but just requires some extra prep to get around. The one negative was the trash was overflowing when we got there until almost the end of our trip. We got there on Sunday so I think it was all from the weekend crowd but they didn't empty it until at least Tuesday.

Campground was a perfect location at the end of the highway next to the black river harbor and four waterfalls in between. It was an amazing experience in the UP, all other camping neighbors were quiet and polite. The only main issue is some of the camp pictures make the site look bigger than it is, but overall they were spaced out apart nicely. Theres little to no phone reception or campfire wood. Overall would recommend, very nice camping experience.

Everything was great!but would be even better with water!

It's a beautiful setting. Very limited facilities because water is still not available anywhere so you must be prepared for extended stays and find a water source in town. Campsites are pretty. Lake is beautiful. Honestly I think the ground could be a bit better maintained. The harbor side is pretty pristine but many campsites are semi overgrown and ours even had a downed tree in the middle of it

The park's location is wonderful. Easy walk to Lake Superior. We loved the hiking trails.

I went to the site the first day of my reservation and found it was a 1.2 mile walk to the beach. On the main road where people speed and there is no shoulder. It was my fault for not thoroughly analyzing the maps and geography of the area before booking.I stayed somewhere else instead.

Campsite #18 is absolutely amazing! Hoping it is still there next year (the sloughing of the bluff overlooking Lake Superior is getting close to the campsite ).The nearby waterfalls are amazing to visit. A little sad the Gorge Falls viewing areas were closed, but still amazing! The only nit to pick is the lack of water...please make the water available Even if it is non-potable.

Nice park, appreciated how the sites had dirt brought in to level them out so you weren't camping on a hill

We knew the water was turned off and planned ahead with no issues. We had site 20, a beautiful site. Nice quiet campground. A nice little hike over to the harbor and beach.

A lot of shade at our campsite. It would be great during the hot summer season.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
