quiet, nice views, wish they would enforce generator hours more stringently...

At 6:03 PM I was disconnecting the tow vehicle and the coach main engine was running I was approached by two park employees and told to shut it off as it was after generator hours, I was having trouble with my batteries and was not able to use any of the coach functions without the generator running so we left the park to spend time night in Why. In the future when we are able to actually spend the night I will give you a fair assessment. Dennis Rogers

Truly a treasure of a location. Clean park, very interesting area of the Sonoran desert, great staff and engaging ranger talks. Will revisit!

We visited in January of 2024 and had a great time. The solar showers worked fine. very friendly staff beautiful place in the dessert for Organ Pipe Cactus. Close to the border, so if you are headed to Mexico this would a great stop off point.

Loved the layout of the campground. Every site a pull-through for RVs. Also enjoyed the hiking trails and nightly Ranger presentations at the amphitheater.

First time to this campground. Love it! Very well laid out into three sections: generator use, non generator use, and tent only. Good spacing between camp spots. For those that like to explore on foot, there are trails from the campground as well as trails off the driving loops within the monument that are worth the effort. Solar showers were cold (warned at the ranger station). Two things to know. Your propane fire pit MUST be 12'' off the ground (they check). There is no first-come-first-serve camp spots, which is too bad as it inhibits the impromptu visit. Hopefully they'll reopen up this option.

Beautiful. If you like the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert you should come here. The Ajo Mountain Vally drive and all hikes, both there and from the campground are worth the trip here. Really helpful and informative staff at the visitor’s center. Regardless of your politics, it is good for all of us to bear witness to the border wall that runs through this park.
