Such a lovely park! We took advantage of everything you had to offer. Our campsite was roomy and level. Nice and clean picnic area. Enjoyed the trails and the Ranger programs in the evening. Thanks for taking care of our parks.

Visit was second week of November for 12 days and there were lots of empty sites. So quiet and very dark. Wonderful place to chill and rejuvenate. Only drawback is the cactus spurs that our dog picked up every 20 feet. Not great for dogs but wonderful for humans. Desert drive across from visitor centre highly recommended. Ask at the visitor centre for a pamphlet to identify the landmarks on the drive. Went into Ajo for a visit and had excellent fish tacos at restaurant beside them town square. Will definitely return.

The campground offers the camper a great pad to park on. Most are fairly level. They include a cast iron grill anchored in the ground and to be used with charcoal. The picnic tables in each site are really nice. There are no hook-ups. There is water and dump facilities on site. The restrooms are plentiful and clean, well-lit and always stocked. The showers too are nice. The only drawback is that the showers are solar. If you haven't experienced them, they are cold in the morning, can get quite hot in the midafternoon if others have not used them. The Ranger talks are relevant and interesting. Absolutely spectacular views, scenic drives. My hot spot works fine with at least 4G and most of the time, 5G. It IS desert so, critters are about. We come back here every year we travel in the area. Close proximity to Sonoyta, Sanora, Mexico which has some shopping and many good restaurants Truely one of our favorites. Only 60 miles from Puerto Penasco Mexico. GREAT place to visit situated at the top of the Sea of Cortez.
