Beautiful scenery. Lots of hiking and ranger led activities. The campground is very nice. Park staff and camp hosts do a great job monitoring the area, maintaining the park's natural beauty and to enjoy the stars at night. Many thanks to them for a clean, safe and peaceful camping experience. The quaint town of Ajo has a clean laundromat and some nice eatieries. The park's visitor center has some unique gifts. Come fully prepared with food. You might not find the brands you are looking for at the grocery store in Ajo which is about 45 min away. Some folks durng their extended stay have mentioned daytrips to el desierto de sonora mexico (35 minutes) and and puerto penasco mexico (1.5 hrs) aka Rocky Point mexico.

Very nice! Beautiful Sonoran desert surroundings. Some with rain/sun shelters. Wifi at the VC. Conveniences just 5 miles away in Lukeville.

The campground is very well kept and quite nice but set up a bit confusingly when you first arrive and are trying to look for a spot. Signage could be a little bit more helpful. Also the signs "do not occupy a site until you have paid!" Are not necessarily helpful and don't make any sense. The only way to pay is by recreation.gov as soon as you find a place that you want. So the best way to navigate is to drive around until you find a spot occupy it Hope you have a little cell phone signal and then book the spot. If you don't have any signal you have to drive back to the visitor center anyway. Overall great experience! good water filling station, convenient garbage cans and clean bathrooms. The area is noisy during the day because of constant traffic in and out of Mexico, but it does quiet down at night. Good star viewing and coyote music!

Shoulder season visit to the park. First since 2019. Biggest change is the requirement to reserve versus, first come-first served when we last visited. At least there was reliable cell phone coverage so we were able to book one of the many open sites. the hiking was good and the weather cooperated making for a great experience again. Highly recommended.

This was by far the most scenic and well-kept campground I've used in the past year. It's now the campground I'll mention when I get that oft-asked question "What's your favorite campground?"

Twin Peaks is so clean and well taken care of! Traveling over the US and Canada, I've not been to one campground that equals it -- where they actually clean the barbecues, and there are not stray pieces of litter here and there. Thank you for providing an exceptional experience here in the beautiful Sonoran desert. If it were not that the cell service is frustratingly slow and intermittent--even your visitor center wifi is weak--every space would be filled all winter! The other thing which would keep me from returning for longer stays is the solar showers. I was unable to get even warm water out by 2 in the afternoon. But, for the senior pass cost--this is an very good value. I've enjoyed the desert like never before. Even saw a glimpse of a bobcat!

Even though there are a large number of sites this campground is laid out very well, and it doesnt feel crowded. The restrooms and showers are very nice and well spaced out around the campground. There are drinking water spigots easily available. The RV a dump station is conveniently located and also has fresh water. We were there in the off season, in mid-October. We will be returning in season, in January. I hope it is still a good experience.

This is a gem location South of Tucson in the National Park system for camping! Most of the sites have vegetation between them to maximize privacy. AND there is now a reservation system, so you can pick your own site. It is quiet at night with beautiful sunsets. There are hiking trails right from the campground. We spent my birthday here and drove into Ajo for dinner, which was great. There are rangers at the visitor center to answer questions. I LOVE it here and have recommended it to several people.
