Our campsite was across from a group campsite. Multiple cars at site with children running around, screaming excitedly and through our campsite. No adult supervision. We left that spot and reserved another quiet spot away from this group, after the first night. Much better spot, where we could hear the coyotes start up and enjoy our stay. The camp host nearby the first spot was off duty, but must have heard the commotion.

This is one of our favorite parks to camp. It is so beautiful & quiet. Always very well maintained & clean. Trails surrounding park & beyond that are well signed. The ranger talks they give most nights are always so informative & entertaining. We enjoy them. The dark, night sky is incredible for viewing stars & planets.

Super bel endroit, beaux terrains. Bonne ide de diviser le camping en deux, avec et sans gnrateur. Trs beaux sentiers de marche. Je recommande.

While this year, 2023, was rainier, windier and cooler than we have found in years past, we still managed to have some great hikes and times there. Favorite hikes included, well, all of them depending on what interested us that day or what the weather was like. The personnel in the Visitor Center answered lots of questions, pointed out things of interest, or the talks to be given both as the patio talk and the evening program, the registration booth and the rangers giving the talks were great. I like that RV's or campers who don't want to use generators have 3 rows of sites plus two rows of tents only where generators aren't allowed. The sound of generators, unfortunately, does not stop at the row but at least, the time is limited for when they can be used. Overall, a great place to visit.

Excellent Campground despite no hookups. Wonderful winter destination with beautiful Sonoran desert preserve and lots of hiking options with pretty geology and mining history. Just enough cell service to retain contact and some great ranger talks.
