Our stay at Twin Peaks was an absolutely wonderful experience. The design of the complex is beautiful and embedded in the desert with well kept sites and knowledgeable and professional staff. The nightly nature talks are amazing.

Twin Peaks is one of the best NPS campgrounds in the country. Level concrete pads on all sites. Outstanding views and well spaced sites. The only NPS campground that offers solar showers in the restrooms for free. Always kept clean. Great way to experience the upper Sonaran Desert.

Informative evening talks given by the rangers. Nice hikes in the green desert. As always, immaculately manicured and all services functional. I would visit again.

Pretty nice campground. There were a few rogue generators running outside of designated areas / times, but otherwise quiet. Clean restrooms, too.

Great nightly talks at the Amphitheater. Campground well laid out. Staff very friendly. Blacktop roads would be a plus. Bull Pasture hike was excellent

Twin Peaks is a beautiful campground. Trails through the desert are just a few steps from the campsite. Even though there were a lot of campers, the campground was quiet and dark at night. We learned a lot from the ranger presentations.

Solar heated water is not reliably heated and shouldn't be advertised as hot or warm! Campsites are very clean, neat, and wonderful.

The campground was pretty full on the President's Day weekend. I've never been there when it was so full so it may be seeing higher utilization. I'm always amazed at how quiet it is despite the number of people. I appreciate that the park staff kept numbers to 8 at a time in the gift shop, enforced safety protocols and, had an information table set up outside.

Would be a perfect campsite outside of Covid. Due to Covid half the bathrooms and showers were all closed. Beautiful sites!

Originally booked 2 nights here as there isn't much else in the area and wasn't sure what the boondocking availability near Ajo was going to be. By the looks of it on Google Maps/CG Map I thought the CG was going to feel crowded with little privacy, but I was pleasantly surprised that it did offer a good amount of privacy based on the way the sites are oriented. I visited in Feb of '21 while Covid restrictions were/are in place, meaning about a third of the campsites were/are closed. The National Monument/Park itself was stunning and much greener than I'd expected for the southern Sonoran Desert. Beautiful place. After my 2nd night I was able to move into a first come first serve site directly adjacent to my reserved site and I stayed for a 3rd night before moving on. Appeared at least a few first come sites open each morning. I was in the non generator section and while I could hear a few generators running in the mornings they were not an annoyance. Park staff and camp hosts were friendly and the CG is very clean and well maintained. The only slight annoyance I had was while trying to relax in the mornings there is quite a bit of back and forth traffic at the CG as the staff drive back and forth checking on campsites that will be vacated that morning in order to get them ready for the next group to move in. That mixed with people coming and going was a bit annoying, though I totally understand the need for it and it would in no way deter me from visiting again, which I intend to do next year. Water spigots and bathrooms are plentiful and spread throughout the CG. During Covid times they have half of the bathrooms shut each day for disinfecting. Each bathroom(at least the Men's) has only one urinal, one toilet, and a solar shower--so depending on what you need to do you may have to wait your turn or walk to another one. They are newer and very clean. The showers are not in service during Covid. Recycling is limited to aluminum cans. Great CG, will stay again.
