Stayed several nights in site 6. Nice flat site on the front row of the campground. The shower water is heated by solar, so an afternoon/early evening shower provided some warm water. The picnic table and outdoor area is on the west side of each site so most of the day the sun blazes down on the site amenities making them too hot to be able to enjoy. There are some sites with a shade structure, otherwise the cacti and trees do little to block the sun. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening ranger programs. We hiked all the trails around the campground. The visitor center and patio talks were enjoyable.

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is a very special to us, and camping a Twin Peaks campground puts you right in the middle of the beautiful Sonoran desert vegetation with sweeping views to the border. The large pull thru campsites are spacious, and the restroom facilities are clean. Whether you take a walk, take in the abundant history at the visitor center, take the scenic drive to Ajo mountain, go to a ranger talk at the patio or the Amphitheater, or just relax in your campchair and watch the sky go dark and fill with stars, it is a memorable experience.

Amazing park and well planned out campground. Clean bathrooms and showers (expect cold water). Verizon 5g, great starlink signal and telcel from MX (roaming Tmobile). Other than a few folks running generators within hours it was very quiet with great dark sky at night.

The lady at the guard gate was super friendly. There were a good bit of people there, but it was very quiet.

We often use the campground as our base before crossing into Mexico for our annual kiting trip to La Ventana. Coming from northern New Mexico and the cold temps of January, it is always a pleasure to land in this patch of desert. It was chilly this time, as in the 50's and low 60's, but a welcome respite for us. Short walks into the surrounding landscape are always wonderful. Lukeville crossing was closed close to our crossing day, but opened up a few days before and we had a great trip south and Sonoyta was deserted. Evidently the 'migrant chaos' was long over before we arrived. Our site was marked with our initials, clean and quiet, even though we were in the generator area. This place gets busy so advance reservations are worthwhile.

One of the best boondocking sites weve been to in the west. Not crowded, solar showers, and great trails and destinations. 100% drive through sites which were amazingly landscaped. Stayed an extra night.

We were actually harassed on two different days by two different park rangers. The first day a ranger made my 73 year old sister move her tent to another site because I had mistakenly reserved a site that did not allow tents. The temperature was 97 degrees. The campground was empty. Then on day 2 as we were inside my truck idling and running the AC another ranger informed us it was not allowed to idle while on a site for more than 5 minutes. The temp. that day was 100. So we had to leave the campsite and drove around to stay cool. I am a veteran of camping and many different camping sites. I have never experienced this treatment not only once but twice in two days.

We wondered if this campground would just be a parking lot, but it was quite nice and had reasonable space between sites. The restrooms were well maintained, and we appreciated both the Perimeter Trail around the campground as well as the trail to the Visitors Center.

Staff was very helpful in obtaining a consecutive handicap site as my Flip Phone could not access your RSVP site ;o(

Our stay was January 16 - 28, 2022. We appreciated how the other campers were very respectful of the Green Desert and the remote location. They abided by the park rules regarding generator hours, so it was very quiet most of the time. Campers kept their RV & trailer sites clean with minimal lighting & noise around their campsites (no flamingos, yard decor or excessive outdoor lighting etc.) to disrupt the dark skies and peaceful surroundings of the Monument. Clean campground, knowledgeable park rangers and a delightful visitor center. We kept extending our stay due because the of the fabulous hiking, biking and beauty of the Monument. I could have stayed a month! I have reserved our site for 2023 for a couple of weeks later in the month to see different cacti blooms in February. We had the most fabulous time In Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. J & W Blevins
