This is one of the best, cleanest, most well-maintained and organized NPS campground in Arizona. While there are a lot of campsites, it does not seem crowded because the sites are separated by enough space -- and the native vegetation effectively gives the feeling of privacy without making you feel hemmed-in.

Nice campground. A little close to each other sites for me but the tent sites on the far end are the best. Really nice ranger talks about the park. Ajo Mtn rd well worth it and take the moderate hikes offered. The drive along the wall was fascinating also. Want to do the hikes to the mine next time. Clean restrooms. Solar heated showers not very warm but got thru it for a quick rinse.

The campground is very symmetrical in the layout. Easy to get around and the sites are well maintained. If youre looking for a warm shower, forget it (at least in winter). They have solar water heaters on the bathroom rooftop but the water is cold at all times of the day.

well designed camp spots. Nice flat areas for tents. Ladies restroom was locked the first day which was a small inconvenience.

We loved the campground and the national park - I mean national monument. Its status ought to be elevated to a national park. It is so beautiful. We had a nice site without noise problems. Although the campground was full, the park itself was not that crowded. We did the Estes-Canyon / Bull Pasture hike (fabulous), visited the Sineta Basin, the Alamo Canyon hike, and the Victorian Mine hike. We should have done the arches hike, but unfortunately we missed it. One can also do a lot of hiking right around the campground without having to drive anywhere.
