If in a tent, go for site #s 200+. All sites offer very little privacy but at least #s 200 + are open in the back. Ranger Kim G is a rock star, go listen to her talks. Campground is clean.

Beautiful facility. All of the rangers and volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and very willing to help and give insight. I was in tent site 189 and the phone reception was crazy. Near the front of the site and 3G, 4G, and H+ from Mexican TELCEL. 3G was the only one that didn't work and all of the messages were in Spanish. Near the back of my site, I had Verizon 5G. I even had 5G at the Victoria mine. If you hike to the mine, take your hiking poles. The ranger said they weren't necessary, and that was correct. But, there are quite a few places where I wish I'd had mine. The showers have solar hot water. I showered between 3 and 4 and had plenty of hot water. The back roads are quite dusty. I did not do the full loop on the puerto Blanco drive because I had a Chrysler van. My previous SUV would have done fine. The drive to Quitobaquito is very interesting because you are only feet from the border. The Border Patrol was quite active the day I was there. Quitobaquito is very peaceful and they have benches if you want to sit and enjoy the view. The road on the Ajo Mountain drive is a mix of paved and gravel. Had no problems at all. I loved all of the saguaro cactus. The each seem to have their own personality.

2nd stay at Twin Peaks and another great time. Quiet overall, good Verizon 4G+ Service, warm showers, clean bathrooms, clean campground, good dark skies, lots of water available. Nothing bad to say and we'll be back!

This is one of the best designed and maintained campgrounds we have stayed at. As tent campers, we appreciated the spacing and orientation of the sites amid desert vegetation, level tent pads, nearby water and trash disposal, dark sky, solar showers. We enjoyed the trails surrounding the campground (Desert View, Victoria Mine, and for sunrise and sunset walks, the Perimeter trail.

Loved this campground. The staff were exceptional, the bathrooms clean, and the rangers at the nearby visitor's center were awesome. My only complaint is that there were no fire pits at any of the sites. There were standing BBQ grills but no fire pits. Temperatures were very cold when we stayed and it would have been so nice to have a campfire in the evenings and early mornings. You can bring your own, but we had room in our car. Other than that, I loved this campground!

Had such a beautiful time here. For those that are going for tent sites, I highly recommend the higher numbers (180s-low 200s), as they're away a bit from the RVs. Was disappointed that some RV owners weren't following the generator quiet policies. Thanks NPS for your stewardship of this amazing stretch of desert.

Great tent camping pads. The restrooms were clean; and there were ample trash cans and water spigots. The amphitheater was excellent.

I had my favorite tent site and found it to be clean, brand new grill, never used. The toilet was clean and functional. Although I believe there should be some hand towels available. One of my favorite places to visit in the spring and fall.
