One of our favorite parks in the nation, sadly not as well staffed as it used to be and the extensive border infrastructure has impacted the park to some degree, especially the access of the medium and larger species to resources on both sides of the border. Quitobaquito Springs had some new man made ditches that detracted from the pristine water source we remembered. The park staff do what they can but need more resources. In the past the staff were much more knowledgeable on the Pinacate World Biosphere just the other side of the border ( a UN recognized World Heritage Site) . Much larger than OrganPipe and with interesting geological features. I would encourage the rangers to co-operate with their Mexican counterparts from Pinacate and for American visitors to explore both locations.

The layout of the campground forces camp units to be parked in an overly restricted direction. Works for most, but does not work when a camper has solar panels. Otherwise, the campground is clean with plenty of trash bins, dump station, and a lot of quail running about to keep everyone company.

Quiet and relaxing at the campground. Very good Ranger talks at night. Auto trail was awesome. We'll be back.

We absolutely love staying at Twin Peaks campground at Organ Pipe National Monument! We stay around 4 times a year on our way to Puerto Penasco. The campground is always impeccable and well kept. It is like staying in a Cactus Forest. I am a birder & always love the assortment of desert birds species .The sites have nice long concrete pads for your RV & living area.

Second visit here, stayed almost two weeks. Beautiful place, trash receptacles, toilets, solar showers, dump stations.Price is amazing especially for us older folks. Really cant say enough good things about it. Oh yes, the camp spots are large and separated by saguaros, bushes and numerous birds too.You are still boondocking with no water, power or sewer hookup but its still fabulous. Quiet too!!!

Gorgeous surroundings. Ranger talks at night vary in quality but we learned things at each one we attended. Showers were *very chilly when we were there in late January despite sunny days.

From camp hosts in the campground to rangers at the visitor center all the people at the monument were fabuloushelpful and friendly. And what a place! Live the remote and uncrowded feel of the campground and that only smaller rigs can get in. The drive up to massai point and the various hikes are spectacular!

Gorgeous location and a campground design to match. This was our first visit and now Organ Pipe has jumped to one of our favorite 3 campgrounds of more than 50 state and national parks weve visited in the Southwest. Immaculate in every way, every site beautiful and private. Very limited use of generators permitted! Ah! The desert is unique and chock full of a wonderful variety of cactus, bushes, wildflowers. Great walking trails and two wonderful high-clearance roads with views every step of the way. OK, two not so perfect things: solar showers stay cold until late in the afternoon, no campfires. Cant wait to return.
