This is a lovely campground. Although there are a lot of campsites, they all feel private and uncrowded. Even the generator sites are quiet. The solar showers are also quite nice. There re quite a few hikes no bike rides in the park area. Everything is well done and relaxing. We meet with friends there each year. We love in the more northern areas of Arizona, so it is great to see a different area. Also lots of nice people, and very dog friendly. Ranger talks each evening are well worth attending.

There was no wifi available. Unable to make reservation at visitor center!! Only through gov.com. There needs to be communication between gov.com reservations and local park. Rangers and camp hosts have no immediate info regarding reservations. This is a problem at other national parks and monuments. More than just frustrating for campers, rangers and camp hosts!!! I'll be going to Big Bend in a few weeks. The same problem exists there!!

Great overall except for the generator hours increase and the massive RVs.

This is the third time we have stayed at Twin Peaks during February in our annual Arizona trip to escape winter. It is a beautiful, well maintained campground in an amazingly "lush" desert location. The campsites have ample space and desert vegetation separating them so you have a feeling of privacy even though it is a huge campground. It doesn't have electric so you need a generator or solar panels if you want to stay very long. But there is a dump station with potable water for the fresh water tank as well as water spigots throughout the campground. It has numerous bathrooms with flush toilets, sinks and electric outlets for a hair dryer. Some bathrooms have showers which I haven't tried in the winter time because it can be colder there than you would expect. As well as several hiking trails, there are two well maintained pathways for walking dogs - one a perimeter path around the campground and one that goes across a mesa to the visitors center. There is also a very interesting and lovely 25 mile loop drive to the east towards the Ajo mountains that you can do in a regular car, as well as a longer 4 WD road to the west. Since it is right on the Mexican border there are warning signs about illegal activity but we have never had a problem or heard about anyone else having a problem so do not let that stop you from going.. It is certainly worth the drive there and I heartily recommend it! I'd like to return sometime in the spring to see the cactus bloom!

Great stay--Park Service does a great job with Interpretation. and campground management. the campground the campground was well run--clean restrooms, yet showers did not have hot water (except for the Group Campground shower. The Border Patrol seems to run ruff-shod over the Monument's southern boundary. Border Wall is an ecological catastrophe. When the lights go on it will be a disaster. It would not have been allowed to occur if ORPI was a Park. Great trails yet keeping bicycles off of old dirt ranching roads is ridiculous (it is national Code of Federal Regulations that makes the Park surrender its sanity on the subject.A trail down the center, or from Rest Room to Rest Room would allow walkers and bikers to travel from campsite to Amphitheater, or simply to other layers.Wonderful place. Definitely would return.

Beautiful campground. Large number of sites but quiet while we were there and we were in the generator area. Only drawback was lack of hot water in the bathrooms/showers. Be prepared as there is no food service or propane for 40 miles.

Really nice campground, kept in perfect condition. Loads of interesting walks starting from the campground. Wish we could have stayed longer.
