Quiet in the No Generator area. Hot showers are really COLD showers in January.

One of our favorite places! Love the interesting flora especially in the spring after good winter and spring rains, the nature trails, the beautiful starry sky, the ranger talks, the nearness to Mexico, and the nighttime quiet.

Twin Peaks is a well maintained and pleasant campground, at least in the early Spring. There are a couple of nice trails that leave directly from the campground. My site was in a no generators area and was quiet and peaceful. I found the rangers at the nearby Visitor's Center to be helpful and cheery, as are most NPS Rangers. There is plenty of water at the campground and the bathrooms were clean and pleasant. I even managed a nice solar warmed shower, which is a real pleasure when camping in the desert.
