The campsite is beautifully laid out, the pitches are for mobile homes very flat, great barbecue option, very clean toilet houses and the dumping station is more comfortable than anywhere else.

Our first time here and we really enjoyed it. This is a very unique park -- beautiful and peaceful with some great hiking trails. The 'designated generator hours' seem arbitrary though; with the intense heat, I think more people would visit if the hours were extended to all but 10pm-6 am. Most generators these days are very quiet, and even when they were running all around us, we could barely hear them.

The only negative part was the campground 'hosts', who were pretty much useless. Our spot was right next to theirs, and not only weren't they helpful or friendly, they totally ignored us. We tried waving & saying hello, but even that didn't work. They seemed more involved in chatting with their friends who were camped nearby, and although we had questions and could have used some assistance, they weren't available to help. Not sure what they did exactly to help people in the park. OTOH, the rangers at the Vistors Center were great -- very friendly and helpful.

Nice sites with plenty of space and lots of plant life. Camp host was very nice. The campground was very quiet at night and there is easy access to lots of hiking and the visitor center. Will definitely be back again!

Great campground with awesome views of the hills surrounding the area. Stayed here during covid so not all the bathrooms were open, they rotated with half open each day which we did not really understand and made for a long walk when they were only open on opposite side of campground. Thoroughly enjoyed the Ajo Mountain drive loop, seeing all the various cacti and great views. Campground sites are close but people are considerate and overall it was very quiet. Rainy and cool weather made for some great photo opportunities. We will be back!
