Very clean and quiet for the most part. The usual barking dogs and bad owners that dont do anything about them.Great hikes from the campground.

2 years ago, we stayed at Twin Peaks c.g. in the middle of a row [we travel with 2 cats, whom we keep on long leads]. It was nice, but I wanted to try staying at the end of one of the rows. We secured a spot near the campground evening talks. Traffic and walk-bys were fewer, and we didn't have to keep as close an eye on the cats, as they avoided the main road into camp. The park was as beautiful as ever, and we enjoyed great weather.

Much nicer than I remember from my last stay, decades ago. It's eerily quite at night for so large a campground. Lots of desert foliage between sites, which makes them seem more private than they really are.

Enjoyed hiking the Estes Canyon trail again. One of our favorite hikes anywhere.

Such a beautiful place in the desert with stunning sunrises and sunsets. Camground was clean and well maintained. Concrete drive through was certainly a plus. Ranger staff friendly, entertaining and informative with presentations daily and nightly. Most relaxing and educational experience. Great hikes too.

We really enjoyed our stay at Twin Peaks Campground. My husband and I agree that its one of the nicest national campgrounds we have stayed at. The sites are nicely spaced and the campground is very well maintained. The location is also perfect to explore this wonderful national monument, which we actually preferred to Saguaro National Park west. We stayed in site 146 in our 25 travel trailer.

Beautiful, clean, with potable water, flush toilets, and a lovely hiking trail right from the campsite. We loved this campground. Saguaros were flowering all around us, organ pipe cactus everywhere, and birds flitting from one to the other. It was very peaceful. We visited the end of May. It was 100 degrees F, and not much cooler at night. Perhaps that is why we had the whole campground to ourselves. It is probably a different experience when the campground is full. they have room for ~200 campers

This one is on me. I made a reservation to camp here for May. When I arrived I was pretty much the only one there. No shade and it was 100 degrees outside. No electric so that meant no A/C in my camper. No Breeze so it was sweltering. I had just been advised about the closeness of the border with Mexico and to dial 911 if I encountered any stranger. I looked at my phone; no service. So I bailed. This would be a cool place to camp from November through February.

Beautiful desert campgound, no hookups, so watch your temperatures if you can't handle the heat. Quiet at night, although it's unfortunate that the 24/7 lighting of the border wall has destroyed the night sky viewing here.

The park is mostly set up for big RV's but there are some tent sites that are nice. And there are non-generator sites that are good if you don't want to listen to them.

We stayed at OPCNM for one glorious, serene week in mid-January. We were blessed with sun and daytime temps in the 70s to low 80s. The campsites are well-maintained, widely spaced, and water spigots are conveniently spread throughout. With plenty of sunshine for our solar panels and easy access to water to refill our tanks, we could have stayed indefinitely :-) We hiked the shorter trails near the campground and especially recommend the Desert View Trail. We also drove North Puerto Blanco Drive and the Ajo Mountain Loop and recommend both. We especially recommend and express our appreciation to the wonderful, enthusiastic, and helpful staff at the Visitor Center! My wife and I picked up the 'Desert Ranger' workbook and had a lot of fun learning about the area and the desert ecosystem, and the information really enhanced our hiking experiences. We even saw a desert rabbit, a road-runner, and a hawk.
