Campsite was very clean and well-maintained. Only complaint was the shower water had no heat. Too cold to actually take a shower. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Enormously handy method (and what an exceptional effort from the administrators) to book the campsite through the website. You get to book your own chosen spot thanks to a map that you see, where every single campsite is registered (like booking a ticket for a performance at a concert hall where you get to choose your seats). But instead of just guessing what the spot actually looks like, there are pictures of every single one of the 208 (!) sites, which makes you feel like you are actually there at the location to see what suits you the best. The pictures are clearly recently taken and give you the exact same impression of what it looks like in real life. Apart from this amazing effort on the website, the campground itself is well taken care off and lies in a beautiful environment right in the center of the park. Each spot feels secluded because of the vegetation surrounding it and the fact that your car, which you can park right in front of your campsite, obstructs the view to your tent. Also, each spot has a huge bench and a private BBQ-grill, and the base for the tent is a little bit elevated and well-defined, with a good surface to set up the tent. From what I saw from a distance, the RV-spots are equally handy and taken care of.It is highly recommended to book and stay there! We loved it!

Sparsely populated. Quiet. No kiosk personnel. Some of the restroom facilities were closed/locked. Some of the water spigots were active although signs indicated otherwise.Much signage regarding illegal immigrants and drug trafficking in the area; however, we saw none of this and had no issues.Campground is located near hiking and loop drive trails.November is an excellent time to visit this area

Easy to find campsite. Campsite was maintained well. A lot of the restrooms were closed for the season and walking to the nearest open one was a little annoying with the way the campground is laid out. Nice campground for RVs with flat concrete pads but not ideal for tent camping.

Mid-May, the campground was empty due to the heat. Nonetheless, I found it wonderful. The trails show great biodiversity, and the interpretive nature walk is well done. My camp site had everything I was looking for. Great stay.

Lovely spot. Huge campground but well-designed, and if you are far south in the tent sites you are not bothered by generators, etc. Great views, good bathrooms and showers, pleasant campground trails. OPCNM is a (relatively) hidden jewel!

The staff at the visitors center was so nice! Facility was quiet and well kept and while being so close to the border we still felt safe. It was so lovely! Will be coming back.

A bit off the beaten path but absolutely worth the trip.

Stunning scenery everywhere you look! The campground is great- even though it is huge and tightly packed in with campers, it is well-designed. We still felt like we were in the wilderness, despite the numerous other people also camping. And the staff was amazing- the rangers and campground hosts etc. we're all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

Great Park! Make sure to do the Ajo mountain drive and to visit the cute town of Ajo as well. Some of the sites have large shade structures (apparently no way to know in advance, sadly), but those are really helpful as there is very little natural shade in the CG.

Although the campgrounds were full, it was a nice experience. People respected the quiet hours and everyone I encountered was friendly. Be advised if you plan to visit youll need to bring all your necessary supplies.

Sonoran desert at its best.

Great spot! We camped in the Ringtail tent area for a week my only suggestion would be to limit generator hours there was a guy with a giant blue metro bus who ran his generator every day from 8am to 8 pm none of my neighbors were happy with it as well he had an older noisy generator. All the other campgrounds I stayed at had morning and early evening hours but 12 hours of loud generator is rediculous
