Nice campground. By far the largest I've ever stayed at, over 200 spaces, but it doesn't feel like it due to all the native vegetation left in place between sites, and it's spread out over a large area. Nice that there are only limited spaces for generators and their hours are very restricted. Very pleasant and helpful camp host. Only downside are the solar showers, even on a sunny day in the winter with temperatures in the 70's, it took until midafternoon for them to be bearable, but still not hot. Overall though a nice place to stay if you like campgrounds. I usually boondock but once in a while it's nice to have unlimited water and flush toilets.

Unique campsite in the desert, wonderful. We enjoyed 2 ranger talks on consecutive nights (more than most parks). Both were excellent, amusing and informative.

We loved the desert camping. So serene. Hiking trails from camp made it better for us. Clean bathrooms and rv dump available is always a plus!

So well maintained and so clean. Im from Nebraska. Was here 2 years ago and just had to visit again. Love the driving loop. (Wish there was more hot water in the solar shower!)

Danger lurks everywhere in the desert. Even in Campgrounds. But this one is worth the risk IF you don’t mind sharing close quarters with others. Sites are small and close together but everyone was quiet and respectful of others. Bathrooms were plentiful and very clean, the Utility sinks were a bonus. Got no hot water in the shower but it was free (solar heated). Views are amazing but watch out for the chollas!

Very well run campground and National Park. The park and trails were clean. Despite all of the warning signs of possible illegal activity, we felt safe! I liked the fact that you have camping options where generators are run during certain hours and non-generator areas. We enjoyed one eight mile hike (the max for us) to the Victoria Mine Trail then on to the lost cabin as well as the lovely Ajo Mountain Drive and hike to the Arch Canyon. We also drove part of the Puerto Blanco Drive but weren’t sure if our van could navigate the entire drive. Due to Covid the park alternated opening the bathrooms while showers were closed. Still, we were grateful for what we had and loved the experience. The sunsets and sunrise colors splashing the sky were amazing! We will return! Thankful and grateful for our time here!

Excellent location and campground! We had never visited this park before and will definitely will return. The campground was wonderful, even without water, electricity and sewer next to our trailer, and the two circular drives we did were spectacular. There are two water/dump stations, which get a bit of a line in the morning, so I suggest dumping in the evening if you can. Incredible sunset views from the campground.
