This is a great campground! Its well designed, well maintained and a pleasure to stay in. There is attractive native vegetation between the sites, and narrow, well-defined planned trails have mostly kept social trails from spreading everywhere. I loved watching the Gambles Quail scurrying around the periphery on the campground and sometimes wandering through my campsite.

Due to the time of year there were only 4 other campers, so it was AWESOME. Good facilities, free showers, quiet and the stars were amazing.

This is one of the most well-managed campgrounds weve visited. There were more programs than weve seen in much less remote parks! Both daytime and evenings at the campground, and the excellent visitor center. Friendly helpful staff, and its beautiful!

Campground was very clean including the bathroom. Plus, the shower provided a substantial supply of hot water. The online reservation system worked smoothly.

We stayed the night in staging to cross the border in the morning. Our site was marked with ID tag and very pleasant. The campground is in a beautiful desert and it was quiet through the night. Water was easy to access and everything was pretty clean too. We always enjoy our stay here.

Quiet campground. Separate sections for generators and non-generators. Winter and early spring are the times to see this green desert. Seasonal rangers and volunteer hosts are friendly and knowledgeable. I LOVE it here in the winter months.
