Although the sites are relatively close to each other, the layout with native vegetation in between makes them feel private. Bathrooms were in great condition, and the trail around the campground was quite nice.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Twin Peaks Campground in February 2023. The campsite was spotless and the tent pad was raked and level. We enjoyed the many hikes so close to camp. We only had 3 nights there and wished we had time for an additional 3 nights.

Very clean facilities with flush toilets and some bathrooms appeared to have showers too. Easy to navigate and a great stargazing location!

100% reservation all the time, and requiring use of smart phone or other internet provider in a dodgy service area, is a BIG downer. This was my third trip and perhaps my last because of this change. I had to change campsites midway through my trip, very disruptive. I have heard that the NPS is concerned about removing barriers and increasing access and then they pull this. I come to Organ Pipes to disconnect.

Twin Peaks is a nice campground with lots of sites. During winter, the campground is mostly empty, which allows people to spread out, gain some privacy and quiet, and reduces demand on the restrooms. During winter, however, the solar showers don't really heat the water. Only a few campsites have shade structures, so try to get one during warmer weather. The campground is a great place to see birds and some really cool cactus species!

The facility is excellent. The people were as good as they are anywhere. That part of the desert is stunning, and I've lived in it for 50 years. It would have been nice to have the closer restroom open, but it was locked.

Campsite number 187 at Twin Peaks Campground in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is one of the few that has a pavilion / ramada, shade cover-thingy. I got lucky finding one available. There are only five of them in the tent section of the campground.Anyway, arriving at the campground, I found everything ready for me. Check in took just a few seconds at the ranger-manned kiosk. The whole site was very clean and the outlined and graveled tent pad was actually raked. My reservation was prominently displayed on the number post. Campsites were well spaced apart - I didn't fell like I was too near my neighbors. The best part, though, was that people were quiet. By nine o'clock there was no noise. Behind me was the last RV loop which was a no generator loop, so I didn't even hear that noise during the very restricted use hours.Drinking water, trash receptacles, and toilets were very nearby.I'd highly recommend this campground if you are ever in the area, not that there are any other choices (except for Alamo Canyon's four tent sites, which is a bit of a drive and non-reservable).

Fantastic, well maintained campground. Easy access to trails and great star gazing without even having to leave camp.
