Only there for one night. CG was beautiful, clean, well maintained, nice hot showers. Terrain was too harsh for my dog so we didnt do much. A great place to see magnificent cactus!

This is a beautiful and quiet campgrounds in the Sonoran Desert. Nice to have the evening programs again! And, a charging station for all those electronics we seem to need these days.

The facilities were exceptionally clean and well managed. The staff was friendly. And the views and weather could not be better although I don't know how much credit you can take for that.

Nice place for desert camping. There is a bit of noise from the nearby highway if the wind is from the right direction. Bring your own shade!

Nicely laid out campsite. Navigation path may feel a little tight but each site still feels private with various desert plants surrounding it. Very quiet at night. We were there mid Oct. Pleasant weather and a near empty campground. Look for a site with shaded shelter if possible, only few available in the first couple of rows.

A nicely laid out campground with beautiful desert plants all around. The 21 mile Ajo Mountain Drive loop road with numbered nature sign stops and hiking trails is well-worth the dusty gravel road travel, as-is the moderate hike from the campground to the Victoria mine site.

The layout is amazing; youd never know there were so many campsites because the spacing, angles and landscape of the sites yield a very private, quiet feeling. The bathrooms were immaculate. Not sure Ive had a better shower than the solar showers there. Campground hosts were terrific. Trails were fun. The 21-mile Ajo Mountain drive took us 3.5 hours because we stopped so often to enjoy the scenery. Highway 86 from Tucson can be a bit rough in spots.

This campground does an excellent job of privacy between sites while packing sites into a small space. It was lovely to wake up to views of saguaro and ocotillo and listen to the numerous birds. Several trails are available right from the campground. It was cloudy while we were there so we didn't get full advantage of the solar showers but they are a nice perk.

Twin Peaks campground at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument was fantastic! The campsites were very private and the laid out very well. All the campsites were pull throughs. Our favorite hikes were Desert View and Alamo Canyon.
@CharlesB214095 · Camped on Jan 2, 2020 at Campsite #21
The facilities were nice, but the staff that manage the campground are terrible. They do not enforce the generator rules and allow people to run them outside that stated hours. And they made us a family with three small kids who were tenting take down a lantern and trash bag that was tied to a Solid Steel pergola assigned to our camp site. They sited a rule that things cannot be tied to plants or furniture. It did not state structure. When I pushed them that it did not make any sense and they were exaggerating the intent of the rule. They claimed we could damage the solid steel structure that was cemented in 2.5 feet of concrete. Truly ridiculous claims.
