The campground was so well planned out, clean and welcoming. The trails were awesome, so much to do close by. The staff in the visitor center were so very helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. Absolutely worth the drive!

This was one of the best campgrounds weve ever stayed at. All spacious pull-thru sites with concrete parking pads, picnic table & grill and mature desert plantings. Very quiet (we stayed in the No-generator section). Lots of well marked hiking trails, and also very scenic driving ones. To top it off, we had decent cell service - our first for a National Park/Monument. The Saguaros were the tallest weve seen, even taller than at Saguaro NP. Will definitely stay here again.

Loved the location and the desert in general. The campground is clean and quiet. Felt very much at home there.
Ajo Mountain Loop Road is spectacular! The Victoria Mine Trail is a beautiful trail with diverse eco-zones, particularly as it crosses a number of desert washes with lots of cover and bird habitat.

The location for this campground is beautiful. The sites are pretty close together. Due to COVID, the camp hosts changed the "open" bathrooms every day sometime in the morning. This resulted in walking to the wrong bathroom a lot. A flag or something visible along the road would be nice. There was a note posted permanently, but until you pushed on the door, you didn't know if you were at the right one. I liked that you could choose a "non-generator" area.
