FYI; site 32 has no trees to provide shade when its the heat of the day. Wouldve been peaceful had not another camper been grinding away at his RV for hours then called a repair RV company to fix what he had done. Campground has opening to river; however, its super shallow and not swimmable. Good knee depth. Other than that, it was great!

This was our first stay at this campground and we enjoyed it! Very welcoming host. Spot #32 is near the water and close to a very clean bathroom with a nice shower. We were in town for a UofO DUCK Football game and hotel rooms are OUTRAGEOUS $$. Set up our campsite and felt very comfortable leaving and coming back later. The next day we took our E-Bikes out for a 20 mile ride around the Dorena Lake. With the mild weather of the PNW Fall we only wish this campground could be open through the DUCK Football season, and maybe even longer.

I love this campground. I live in Eugene so it's a quick and pleasant getaway.

Great campground space wise. Our site and many around were spacious.Great campground for little kids with bikes and who like to play in shallow water (when we were there the river was low). Close to Dorena lake. Be aware of the no alcohol rule.

Great camping experience. Also, only 10 minutes to shopping for essential supplies.

We enjoyed the river with our dog. We weren't there long enough to do a lot of exploring. I would have liked to have a chance to hike the trail that took you to the reservoir. The lawns were nicely mowed, and the place was clean and well kept. Well managed. We got there around 6 p.m., and there wasn't any one in the booth, but soon after we were driving around to find a camp spot, the manager drove up in a golf cart to help us. They was a lot of room for each camp site, which was nice. People were friendly, and it was a nice spot. Next time we'll stay longer.

I had high hopes for our stay at Schwarz Park. However, the information online about this campground is misleading. It is not on Dorena Lake, but on a small creek that was once connected to the lake and is now dammed. There is no lake access from the campground, you have to drive to get there. Also on our first and only morning there a crew of landscapers came through the campground around 10:30 am and mowed the area leaving all the families trying to enjoy a peaceful morning at camp in a cloud of dust and debris. Everything in our site was covered in dirt and grass clippings. I asked them to move to a different area and they were very rude and another one of them came close to my site and spewed even more dust all over my and my sons belongings. All our kitchen supplies were filthy and we had dirt in our eyes and mouths. I attempted to get a refund for the night but the volunteer was unable to help me and I havent heard from the park staff even though the volunteer said she would contact the higher ups and get back to me. We definitely will not be returning.
